Future Islands performing live in Austin, Texas, 2014. I love the way this guy sings and dances. He could give Mick Jagger a run for his money.

Samuel T Herring should be sainted, I've never had a religious experience until those killer moves at the end

The lead singer is incredible. You can tell he just becomes absolutely lost in the music every time, and all he wants is everyone to enjoy listening to it.

I'm always drawn to weird stuff. So naturally I'm a fan of this band now lol. This guy's moves are perverse. I love it!
@shazzabelle1239 жыл бұрын
I have to hand it to this guy - those moves are sooooo entertaining! The angst in his face and the earnest moments in the performance. Never seen moves quite like these!
@brianbarit30917 жыл бұрын
shazzabelle123: Yeah, no doubt, the lead singer's voice and dance moves are so spunky & sporadic. What's this dude's name and do they have any other HITS? We don't hear real music like this on the radio here in America! #Sad 😥
@shazzabelle1237 жыл бұрын
I think the lead singer is Sam Herring. Not sure they are mainstream but they have a few songs on here. I think I first saw them on Letterman. He used to have a lot of artists on there at the end of his show who were mostly unknown - which was cool I thought.
@Hhhhhhhhh1867 жыл бұрын
Brian Barit They actually have a new album out and they're on tour now. Sam is amazing live...he lays his soul bare and his energy is boundless. I highly recommend seeing them live if you ever get the chance.

I wrestled by the sea A loneliness in me I asked myself for peace And found it at my feet Staring at the sea All that glitters is gold Don't believe what you've been told People lie, people love, people go But beauty lies, in every soul I wrestled by the sea A dream of you and me I let it go from me It washed up at my feet Staring at the sea All that glitters is gold Don't believe what you've been told People lie, people love, people go But beauty lies, in every soul If you wait, if you wait for the morning If you wait, if you wait for the morning If you wait, if you wait for the morning If you wait, if you wait for the morning How long, how long How long, how long I asked myself for peace I asked myself for peace I asked myself for peace I asked myself for peace I asked myself for peace And found a piece of me Staring at the sea

Go for it! Music isn’t about looking popular, but how it moves you . Def moves this singer !!

Try, and possibly learn, the dance the Security Guard does in the Black Keys' Lonely Boy music video. One take. Pure emotion. Got me absolutely driven wild from singing it at a karaoke bar in 2014.

Personally, I am not sure I’d listen to this music. I can watch Sam dance all day… but his voice? I swear I need a throat lozenges after every song he sings. That said… he is without doubt one of the most dedicated And animated stage entertainers I’ve ever seen… right there with James Brown. And… I am a huge fan of Marlon Brando.. Sam should get his DNA tested.. he looks just like The Godfather. Haha

Saw them at Wythenshawe park yesterday 26.8.23, but their set was cut short due to an electric storm. He is certainly a good burlesque performer with some groovy moves. They did sound good live, quality stage and sound system whilst waiting for Noel and His High Flyers to come on.

I went to a show in Sydney Australia years ago with my daughter in the rain and mud......yes it was outdoor, these guy's were there but we didn't go to see them, didn't know about them.....it was life changing, put me on another level of vibration, walked away wondering why I'd never heard of them before. All the guy's are good but the drummer is a cat.....just smashes out the coolest rhythms especially live, now whenever I want to relive the moment I play the "Singles" CD in my car and get lost in the moment for a while just like the singer Samuel Herring does......so much theatrical intensity, it really was a good show and wait, who did we actually go to see, oh yeah Mumford and Sons.....equally entertaining I can assure you 👍
