I've never seen a guy that tall with a frame that solid, and he hasn't even had time to really mature yet even. Usually dudes that size suffer from some sort of disorder that has negative effects like Marfan's or some pituitary problem, but I think this guy is just very tall. What a genetic anomaly. I hope he has a good career.

I just checked his KZbin channel few months ago. He's about 16 now and stands at over 8 ft already. Putting Rioux on Guinness is for surr, part of his handlers' goal of hyping his stock.

His Scouting Report isn't exactly glowing. He's just a 3 Star recruit. Here is his scouting report from 247 Sports. The red flag is he is too slow. Olivier Rioux is a 7-foot6- center that takes up immense space on the floor but isn't the most fleet of foot. In short minutes, Rioux can come into a game to clog the paint, shield opponents away from the rim and be a serviceable rebounder. He does have pretty good hands and touch on the offensive side of the ball but will need to continue developing his coordination especially in quick reaction circumstances.

He is red shirting with the Gaiters. Not starting so that he retains four years of college eligibility . There is no guatantee he will make the Nba. Yes he has size but you need lots of speed to make it all the way to the big league.and at his height speed is not one of his talents .Lets not get ahead of ourselves and give him the time he needs to polish his skills. Very few very tall guys made it and had a long carreer in the Nba. Yao Ming was a great big man but George Muresan, Manute Bol and Shawn Bradley were not .Taco Fall didnt last two seasons. I haven't seen anything that tells me he will do any better than get drafted and/or play some G league. The guys above 7 feet that people are talking about now have range, and the video admits he doesn't have a jump shot. Without improvement there, he probably won't see any better action than summer league. He also looks like he has a bad wingspan. I'm curious about his standing reach and wingspan.
@ClayHales14 күн бұрын
@@subject8776 Manute Bol was great at blocking shots when centers almost never shot outside the paint, and most possessions teams tried to score at the rim. Outside of that he picked up shooting 3s, but that was in an era where TEAMS had single digit 3 point attempts. That was his game. He was a novelty in an era that best suited his skill set.

Oliver has a big problem with coordination, something that's very hard to improve on. It's usually either you have it or you don't. Why am I pointing this out? It would affect the way he defends against and keep up with guys in the pro level. Coordination can also lead to poor balance , resulting to injury.
