Uncle g this is what ECFMG has said If Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) remained unrecognized by WFME as an accrediting body by 2023, medical graduates from Pakistan will not be eligible for appearing in USMLE or applying for ECFMG certification. As such, PMDC has six years to first complete the process of getting WFME recognition and then to strictly follow the set criterion for maintaining required standards to enable Pakistani doctors to do post-graduation from any US medical institution or earn living on foreign soil.

He is living in his own world. They barred us because of the incompetence of our government and failure to get wfme accreditation timely. Mbbs from Pakistan is as challenging as doing it anywhere else in the world. And it is tough. You have to go through ton of syllabus and bulky books to get this degree. Not that i am a doctor or i know how easy or hard it is becoming a doctor . But as Pakistan is an under developed country , the research sector for the so called difficult fields is not their in Pakistan . So student tend to go for fields that have strong market value such as engineering and medical . If the research sector of Pakistan was as developed as the foreign countries and there were opportunities in those fields student would have love to go for them .

its not banned ...Defunct Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) had applied for the WFME accreditation and also invited its delegation to visit Pakistan but in 2019, the PMDC was dissolved and Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) was established. Subsequently, the WFME visit was postponed. In order to get accreditation from the WFME, Pakistan has time till January 2024 and the current Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) Act at present does not meet the criteria to get recognition from the world body. The PMC, on the other hand, claimed that it had “formally initiated the application process for the recognition” and the entire process, including on-site visit by the WFME, is expected to take 12 to 15 months, which is well within the time frame of Jan 2024.

WOW .Saudi Arab declined md ms degree initially and was later regularised. Fcps is still accepted equilant to frcp frcs in gulf countries as a specialist degree. Pakistani surgeons and doctors are actually recognised as very competent through out the world. Secondly in US even their own graduates have to sit for USMLE just as IMGs. There is entire pathway for international medical consultants to practice in UK without going through their training programs. Its called CESR Pathway. I expected a man of your critical acumen to not have spoken about things that you're painfully unaware of.

But in out india mbbs is tougher, struggling,and if you failed in neet then it is very expensive when you buy an mbbs seat it cost 3 to 4cr ind rupees for cheap medical collage and 12lakh fee per year and engineering, it, computer science seat we can easily crack state competative test except jee mains and jee advance and these two two exams are much tougher than neet but and if we failed in competative test we can buy an engineering seat in a cheap collage in 1 to 2 lakh indian rupee. bcz we have an engineering collage for a single street but we have 1 or 2 medical collages for each district

I have met numerous genius with high iq in the west who have chosen arts for their personal preference. Somewhere internally this uncle is still giving preference to Engineering and Doctors. And I have only seen some people who actively choose MATHEMATICS! Physics, yeah for engineering. But Math.. nah.

it's a humble request please do some research...they haven't announced anything like canceling the degree they have a certain process like you can clear their license exam and do your practice in countries like Saudia Arab and the United States

Maybe he is particularly talking about Medical degrees from Sindh province only, because of having rotten quota system which allows below average students get an admission and get their degrees because they can speak Sindhi.

Also this did happen medical degrees were refused because there some circular that every country publishes , this process eliminates all the fake degrees and Pakistan was late in that due to political apartheid , now its all OK

Baba g is sharing rumors rather than facts. Most of the doctors in our family who studied from Pakistan are settled in the UK and Saudi Arabia. In fact, Pakistani doctors are really competent.

Hhahah just recently my cousins went to UK and US after completing mbbs from Pakistan, and also in first attempt they clear the exam, and so many more,, uncle definitely telling his own kids failure to the world

سعودی عرب میں چاندکاہ میڈیکل کالج سندھ کا کوئی لڑکا پیپلز پارٹی نے بھجوا دیا ھو گا ۔ پہلے بھی سعودیہ نے بھٹو کے وقت کراچی کی ترقی اور خوشحالی دیکھ کر کراچی سے کام کرنے والے منگوائے تھے تو والفقار علی بھٹو نے پیٹ بھر کے اندرون سندھ سے لوگ بھیج دئیے تھے جنھوں نے وہاں لوٹ مار اور چوری چکاری شروع کردی تھی ۔ سعودیہ والوں نے ایک یا دو فلائیٹ کے بعد باکستان سےمعزرت کر لی تھی۔
