SHIBUYA CITY FC - what a club!
This was a really fun one and I'm stoked to have got in and seen them play before they go and become absolutely huge.
Already dominating the Tokyo Shakaijin League, (equivalent of J7!) in this video they are playing the last game of their regular season before beginning their playoff journey, with the aim of playing in the Kanto League from 2024.
Shoutout to club CEO Sho Koizumi for the interview and for sharing some really interesting info about where they are going and how they are beating some of the big J1 boys in the race to secure the most central football stadium in Tokyo. Super interesting stuff and a very, very exciting journey ahead
It was a real honour to join in with the last day celebrations and to even sneak into their team photo - definitely something you don't get in J1 and J2, and another reason why getting involved grass roots football is always worth it. Support your local club!
I had an absolute blast and will 100% be keeping an eye out for the SHIBUYA CITY FC results next season - definitely a fan now and I'm expecting big things.

Boys are back together, things you love to see. The Shibuya shirt is one of the cleanest in Japan really gotta save up my coppers and get my hands on it at some point. Great vid always love the pre-match banter. when it's included

Cool club & interesting to see your take on it. I went there mid July to see them play in scolding hot weather! Absolutely mental conditions. I talked to a couple of players outside before that game. Great work on getting to interview the CEO. I hope he and the club realise their dreams

Great video and I would love to see more these non-league clubs being introduced, which are determined to get to the J League. I've watched some JFA action from KZbin and the matches have been fast paced and eventful so there could be some interesting teams to learn about. That Shibuya City FC jersey looks wicked and it has a hefty price tag but I would definitely want one! And as an Arsenal fan myself I appreciate the choice of Lolo's jersey choice of the day for this video. Keep up the good work lads!

Thanks man! Yes Japanese non league and lower level football is massively underrated and I think deserves more attention. Glad that some has got to KZbin but from what I’ve seen that’s normally from Individual clubs rather than through any official league support, which is disappointing. And yes lovely kit. Definitely get one if you have the chance!

@@jleaguejourneys yes, it is a shame that there is no official league support but perhaps it's a financial based decision? I don't think they got resources to put in that kind of thing even though they would probably want to. The official JFA channel shows only handful of teams playing, without any commentary, but I managed to find Veertien Mie's channel and they have even a match commentary. It's only in Japanese but still gets the excitement going, even though I don't understand what's being said. I haven't been able to find other team's channels so if somebody has knowledge of their excistance, would you share so I could tune in those games as well?

@@miikkapulli Oh nice one! I think Nankatsu SC stream their games when at home, as do a lot of the other teams in the Kanto Regional League and below, but all from their official club youtube channels. Worth having a look on match days as I think coverage is getting better and better.
