Hi I’m just have a few questions about the shimizu S-pulse shirt you’re wearing. Do they still sell them in Japan? Are they as expensive as they are from online stores? Are they real or fake shirts? I noticed it says S-pulse in the centre of the shirt but the team kit in 1993-1995 says JAL in the centre instead. Does that mean mean anything in terms of the authenticity of the shirt? I hope you reply, arigato gozaimas.
@jleaguejourneysАй бұрын
Hi mate, thanks for the message. These shirts are real and were bought from a store called Vintage Sports for about 15,000 JPY each. This was a while ago though so prices may have gone up since. These were the original shirts used for J.League matches I think from 93-96, and (I could be wrong) the one with the JAL sponsor was used for cup games, so both versions should be real. Easiest place to buy them now is Mercari, which ideally you need to be a Japanese resident to use, but you can also go through third party sites like Buyee that will buy on your behalf and ship to you.
@markdover3825Ай бұрын
@@jleaguejourneys thank you so much for the prompt reply. I purchased a shimizu S-pulse 1993 home kit for roughly double the price you originally paid for yours but I don’t mind as much because I was ecstatic to know that shimizu S-pulse was a real team since I only ever heard of them from the classic anime goal FH: field hunter, so I was quick to buy the shirt when I discovered this. I purchased the shirt from a website called cult kits which is a legit website and I’m glad you clarified the difference between the home kit and sponsored shirts. You’re a legend!

Al-Ain are a tough opponent, the second-leg could go to penalties. I have a feeling either Lopes or Nam will score the first goal and Uenaka will score another late into the second-half. Big if's but I am a gambling man lol.
@jleaguejourneysАй бұрын
Big ifs indeed. Marinos dominated the first leg in terms of overall chances and attacking play, but when Al-Ain went forward they looked so much more clinical and dangerous. If Marinos sit back they’re gonna be taken apart, hope they go for it and play for the win!

Pretty sure the keeper in the vid is third choice, just a young lad. He did make me a few decent saves, but definitely felt a bit nervous watching him. A good experience for him though!

What a left foot! He wasn't the first left footed free kick specialist to play outside of Japan. Hiroshi Nanami played in Serie A with Venezia in 99 and he scored a few belters. Considering he had Alvaro Recoba in the side that's big praise

That Wolf Mascot at the end caught me totally off guard. Hilarious stuff. Another great video from the boys. Hiroshima and Kofu battling it out for Chris' affections we might have to christen that game the J-League Joruenys Derby if they ever meet. How difficult is it getting to Kofu from Toyko. Seems like a great spot to take in a game but the ratings for accessibility weren't great.
