Part of me wants to see another Captain America movie that follows him back to replace the infinity stones and Mjolnir. It would tie up a lot of loose ends and have the added benefit of giving Idris Elba one last hurrah as Heimdall (because how else would Cap travel to another planet if not the Bifrost?).

Let's face facts, Marvel Studios has a policy of no more than 3 movies per year. That being said, they have a lot of other films on their docket to continue some characters' stories and to introduce new ones, including Chag-Chi, Nova, Sub Mariner, Warlock, She-Hulk, Spider-Woman, Moon Knight, Blade, Hercules, and Captain Britain; as well as the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. Possibly even bring Daredevil, Iron Fist, Ghost Rider, Punisher Elektra and Power Man into the theatrical events of the MCU too! They need to have a major, world threatening villain scenario to build up to - in order for the Avengers to assemble again. By that time, several of these films will have been made and would give them ample time to make another Avengers movie.

My theory is that in their show, Sam and Bucky decide to share the shield in Steve's honor. I think Marvel knows that fans would revolt if they tried to replace Chris Evans as Captain America (especially so soon), so this might be a way around that.

Oh yeah yeah Actually it could be Galactus. Since Disney acquired Fox they now have the rights to Galactus. Yes, they did say that Phase 4 is pretty well planned out, but it could be similar to the Avengers at the end of Phase 1 when Thanos was introduced.

Its possible that the reason why Thor joined the GOTG is because they will face Adam Warlock in Vol.3? And Adam, in the comics, possesses the soul stone and a superior fighter. We all suspect that Gamora and Black Widow are in the soul stone. The story may revolve around GOTG trying to retrieve them by going thru Adam Warlock. Which is why they have Thor. I also have this feeling that when Cap tried to return the soul stone in Vormir, he saw Red Skull and maybe realized that it should not be with him. But, instead, found The Sovereign and was either tricked or convinced to relieve the soul stone to them as protectors. Which is why Adam in the present day, has the soul stone. That would be an excellent back story. Just a theory. Thanks guys!

I think Warlock will not be connected to the souls stone in the MCU. However I got over my initial hesitance to have Thor join as the Guardians will need someone powerful enough to help them with Warlock.

Adam Warlock would have the stone in a different timeline, since it was said that the main timeline wouldn't change, regardless of what they did in the past. So they may still meet Warlock in the movie, but I believe the only way he could get the stone is by going back in time somehow like Hawkeye and Black Widow did.

I absolutely loved Endgame. However, i really wished they would have done something different with the Hulk. I didnt like Professor Hulk at all. Oh God, Black Widow is not coming back.. Just stop with that. They mentioned twice in the movie that she is not coming back. Her character arc has ended. People already blame Comics and Superhero movies that deaths are never permanent. Do you think MCU will do that now? They did it before and got a lot of backlash for Loki, that no one ever dies. And they don't need to do that, they have many other characters. I said the similar thing when people were saying Loki is alive posing as Hulk in Infinity war. That was the stupidest theory I ever heard. Thanos saying "No resurrections this time" was a indication for us fans that he died for real. Similarly, in this movie, both Hawkeye and Hulk said that she can't come back now, is a way of saying us fans that she died for real.

I understand why Cap didn't choose Bucky. 1. Sam Wilson is a Cap for this day and age, Bucky is still a man out of time. 2. The whole world knows Bucky is the Winter Soldier he probably still a wanted man. An former Assassin taking the mantle of Cap can tarnish the image of Captain America. I know it worked in the comics and I loved those stories of Cap Bucky, but the MCU is a different universe.

I also think Steve felt that passing on the shield to someone, while an honor, places a huge responsibility on their shoulders. After all the suffering Bucky has been through with his enslavement and torture by Hydra, Steve didn't want to lay anything else on him. If he wants to stay in the fight that's his choice, but Steve didn't feel comfortable putting such a responsibility on him, as opposed to the more "ordinary" and well-adjusted Sam.

Captain Marvel is too OP to be the leader of the Avengers, her presence makes a team obsolete, Black Panther is a head of state of an entire country so he probably doesn't have the time to be a full-time leader, Spider-Man is a kid so nobody is going to follow him, Dr. Strange is too arrogant and rude to inspire leadership in other heroes, so my money is on either Falcon-Cap, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man or War Machine.

Doctor Strange is basically Tony Stark in the beginning, he could be a great leader eventually, it could be him and/or Scarlet Witch, I don't think they are going to have War Machine be a leader.

Falcon has 0 stage presence, same with Winter Soldier. Scarlet Witch as a character is too damaged and unstable. Ant-Man is too comedic and not serious enough. And War-Machine is old and his body is broken, also he doesn't have great leadership qualities. Brie Larson has a controversial stage presence and doesn't provide any sense of humor. The only possibility at this stage is Doctor Strange as he was responsible for ultimately defeating Thanos through his master plan. Benedict Cumberbatch does well, but not well enough just yet. Frankly I don't see anyone just yet that is good enough to lead the Avengers. And franky, I don't give a shit. Why should anyone give a shit anymore? The MCU has given us everything we've ever wanted out of superhero movies. This is it, this is the peak; there's no going up from here. The superhero genre can only go down from here, and that's fine. I've made peace with that. Everyone else should too. We should be grateful. We got 11 years of great characters, and if they can't surpass that, I'm fine with that.

Phase 4 new Avengers movie should build over the next few films with: 1.Person who brings the team together: Professor Hulk (Nick Fury kind of role but with a bit more depth) 2.Leader: Black Panther (Makes sense as he is a King and he could be a little like Cap) 3.heart of the team: Spiderman (fills the hole Black widow left by being able to keep harmony with each member like Natasha did with Tony,Steve,Clint and Banner yet still sometimes neglected cuz of his age) 4.Realist: Doctor Strange (while still very different to Iron Man strange could make sacrificial decisions which would cause him to but heads with other members of the team) 5.Galactic Power house: Captain Marvel (a part time member they bring in when situations get rlly tough as she’s always off in space, this could cause some conflict with her and other members of the team cuz she isn’t always there for them) 6.Middle man: Captain America (Sam Wilson): Sam could fill Hawkeyes ofc mixed with Steve’s role in the team as he would constantly stick up for what is right but still sit out being the leader and be a middle man making sure the rest of the team is on track) 7. Strategists: Ant man and The Wasp (both would be good strategists cuz of Wasps time with Hank Pym and Scott being an ex criminal, wasps relation to her father and way of thinking like him could make some conflict with character like Bruce Banner who don’t rlly agree with his way of thinking while I doubt Ant man’s criminal last would sit right with Captain Marvel or Black Panther) 8.Left over: Scarlet Witch (up until this point everyone in Wanda’s life has left her or died her brother,vision and the original avengers team. This new team needs to be a family to Wanda as at this point I think she would’ve lost the feeling of what it’s like to have a family as every time she has one they leave her very quickly so making Wanda feel welcome will be a hard job for the new team) 9.Outcast:Winter Soldier (while he has a close friendship with Sam and Black Panther Bucky will have a hard time getting the rest of the team to trust him after his criminal days, especially when he doesn’t have Cap to defend him) Supporting characters: -War Machine would be a good love interest for Carol as they were a couple in the comics and it as hinted to in endgame so he could be brought on occasionally. -Hank Pym could be another harsh mentor to members of his team and a gold foil to Banner as I’m 90% they’d clash -Nick Fury is always watching the Avengers from behind the scenes to make sure that everything is going smoothly and occasionally recruiting members and brining then together so i have no doubt he’ll over see this team as well -The Guardians of the galaxy now have contact with the Avengers so I have no doubt they’ll make some appearances alongside them again in the future especially with Thor now being a member of the Guardians and a founding Avenger -Valkyrie is bound to pop up as she is the ruler of New Asgard now and also used to have an extremely close relationship with the Hulk -The eternals should meet the Avengers at some point as they r getting a film so they r obviously important to the next era -Shuri will probably be tech support

Elizabeth Olsen’s fans that’s not a bad shout actually cuz they even said in Endgame that the Avengers were Black Widow’s only family just like Scarlet Witch at this point. Maybe they should do a bit of a mix between both cuz Spiderman would be best to keep harmony like widow did as she had the most personal connections with every member except Thor and I think Spiderman could be that sort of every man as well as he is unlikely to to butt heads majorly with many members of the team like Steve and Tony did or how I imagine Scarlet Witch and Black Panther would. Tbh I think each member could share some to the roles of the original team. Like Sam will have a lot of Steve’s no compromises characteristics but also strikes me as a bit of a Hawkeye like figure as well as he is an average guy. At the same time I think Black Panther will have Steve’s leader traits as he is a king himself and has a similar power set. So why can’t Scarlet Witch and Spidey share some of Black Widow’s traits. By Scarlet treating the team like family and Spidey being a common interest for the hole team.

Most likely candidate to lead is Bruce Banner. I have several reasons for that. For once, Cap Marvel and the Asgardians of the Galaxy have the whole freakin galaxy to protect, T'Challa have the most highly advanced Terran kingdom to protect, Valkyrie has New Asgard to protect, Hawkeye is retiring from the Avengers job and lastly Doc Strange has the freakin reality itself to protect! So the Avenger leadership role falls into Banner's shoulders. He's the OG guy. He's smart. And can take quick decisions and isnt afraid to sacrifice himself for the greater good as seen in Endgame's finale. Plus the Hulk is a favourite of mine and he hasnt been recieving the screentime he deserved since The Incredible Hulk.

@Ken Magnus See, this is where movies with time travel break down. If 2014 Thanos was killed before he snapped, how did either of the last two avengers movies even happen? Thanos was killed before he attacked xandar or the asgard ship, he never got the stones, never killed gamora, loki, or vision. So they should all just pop back into existence right? That just doesn't make any sense. The only thing that makes some amount of sense is that what happened in infinity war is unchangeable, set in stone, what they did in endgame wasn't making it so that infinity war never happened, just bringing back what was taken. For this to make sense when Cap took the stones back he must have created an alternate timeline like the ancient one talked about, and possibly in that one there was no snap. Bottom line, I don't think those stones are in the current MCU timeline anymore. Feel free to disagree, just remember that with time travelling movies there isn't really a "correct" answer, just an answer that matches what the writers wrote.

@Ken Magnus Again, this is where time travel movies get incredibly messy. We talk about 2012 thanos(avengers thanos), 2014 thanos (guardians 1 thanos), and 2018 thanos(victorious/dead thanos), are those all different thanoses (thani?)? The only possible explanation that I can see making sense is that every time the 2023 avengers did something that altered what happened in the original timeline (loki escaping for example) there was a new timeline created with its own future. This didn't change their future because they always returned to their timeline. There just isn't a way that I can see that we can reconcile everything that happened in endgame without branching timelines. So in the branched timeline that is the current MCU in 2023, there are no infinity stones because the infinity stones of that timeline were destroyed by thanos, and the ones that cap took back were the same ones that thanos used in infinity war and then destroyed. It still doesn't make 100% sense, but then again this is time travel, which isn't a real thing, so I don't think it will every make complete sense. I'm not entirely sure that we actually disagree all that much, but regardless thanks for keeping it cordial unlike some other people.

I think they screwed up the Hulk imo. The Hulk has been progressively getting weaker and weaker since the first Avengers movie. The endgame Hulk was the weakest one yet, he hardly even had any fighting scenes in the movie. He was essentially just Banner but in Hulk's body. I expected more for Hulk, I thought he would get a chance at redemption against Thanos and I thought Black Widow dying would have more of an impact on him sending him into a rage. None of this happened.
