UNLV, Memphis, and Tulane. I think the Texas schools will be there at anytime but the ones that should be considered are UTSA and Texas St with Rice and North Texas as distant alternatives.

I’ve been a PAC loyalist for over 50 years. Power Conference status is coded into our Cougs and Beavs DNA. Anything less than Power Conference status is not an option. I will be very satisfied for invitations to the following: Air Force, UNLV, Memphis, and/or Tulane. And, I also still keep a wide door open for our former PAC 12 brethren who left. That they may return home to the PAC Family where they belong and when they are ready. As long as it excludes a Colorado with “Prime” and all his off-field clown show baggage and antics as a head coach.

New 6, CAL, Stanford, UTEP, New Mexico, UNLV and......Gonzaga with UConn footbal only. UConn being the default Gonzaga football team. Until Gonzaga considers upgrading if they ever do. Look, both the PAC-12 and UConn have been devistated by these realignments. Both have fought with a continued eye to compete at the hightest level. It would be cool if both could help each other in the short term if not long term.

The Dakota schools don't fit. Small schools in small markets with small stadiums and arenas and small athletic budgets. Gonzaga has double their budget and don't even have football.

No to Tulane and Memphis. Travel is too much for the non-football sports and parents/alums won't want to go that far for road games. Stay in the central.mountain/west. And Memphis city is a high-crime shithole.

Pac 12 wont get playoff shot because no longer power 5 conference. SEC and Big 10 wont give up a playoff pick. I think all conference should only have up to 4 in playoff

@@devobronc | As a Colorado native, AF vet and a person in tune with the college sports scene here in Colorado, I can attest that AF is not wanting to join the AAC to turn the service academy games into conference games. The financial game between the 2 conferences are minimal. Thee AAC get $9M per team, the MW currently gets $7M. Respectfully, that's the dumbest thing I've heard on here in a long long time. A little brain power could've debunked that asinine theory. For 1, the Army joined the AAC due to due to scheduling complexities. Army's AD said this at the presser to join the AAC. For 2, The Army/Navy game WILL NOT be a conference game. For 3, The closest AAC teams to Colorado Springs are in Tulsa (675miles), Denton, TX (700 miles), San Antonio (850 miles), and Rice (995 miles). Make this make sense.

The PAC is far from dead. Rebuilding? Yes. A difficult past year? Yes. Profound sense of abandonment and having been pushed out an airlock? Yes. But dead? Not even close. We, the Beavs and the Cougs have Power Conference DNA wired into our mindset. Power Conference, Conference of Champions mentality, that we’re happy to share with our new PAC 6+ Family members. Anything less than Power Conference status will never ever be an option for the PAC. Go Cougs!

I live in Houston, Rice is a great school but their market share is extremely small. Like non-existent. Texas State would deliver a larger audience not only in Houston, but Austin and San Antonio as well.

@@wjsIII Rice & Tulane are both excellent academic schools. They both would be helpful in 2030s when the next big realignment happens. I believe that UTSA, Rice, North Texas & Texas St. are all good options.

@@wjsIII The tv for this conference will be largely 7pm to 8pm pacific Saturday nights and some weekday games. And this conference needs to set itself up for what happens when the 32ish team full breakaway happens which will be a Premier league and then 40-60 teams in the middle class. No projects, no if we add the 10th team in Texas we can recruit there (behind the Texas schools, SEC, Big 12, NIL money).
