Great video, though I do have a couple notes… - No, Shockwave was not made more purple. They’re using his original render, which brightened the figure’s purple. It’s presumably just a straight PR of the original figure. - I may be wrong, I don’t believe AOE Prime is as old of a figure as Bumblebee, who was meant to be released alongside 86 Hound and Hatchet. - Yes, Apelinq is a retool of Primal. - It was recently stated that the Fallen is an original tooling with no planned second uses (something rare for a modern Transformers toy), so that debunks the (incredibly silly) “he’s an 86 Megatron pretool” theory and more or less also debunks the “he’s a Megatron retool “ theory. (However, ‘86 Megs is probably gonna share engineering with this guy, since he looks to transform similar to a tank Megs.) - Star Convoy a Prime - he’s Optimus Prime, and according to the listings, he’s going to be released as “Star Optimus Prime” and will probably be this line’s representation of the Thirteenth Prime. (By the way, the guy between him and Liege is supposed to be the Fallen.) - I’m not a legal expert, but from what I understand, there’s a ton of legal issues that come from selling a Megatron toy that turns into a gun, and it’s basically a can of worms Hasbro doesn’t want to open. Others in this comments section have explained it much better than me, though. And for the record, the back barrel/suppressor is on the Dreamwave Fallen design. (Well, that was longer than I expected it to be lol)

Joy. -2 Maybe I was misslead, I was told that it was old in a VC I was in. -3 Figured. -4 I will believe that when I see it, there are a million ways it could be a lie, or that it could be a non lie that's just incorrect, or that it could be Technically true, but practically false. -5 That's not always true, but if he's going by Star Optimus, then I can't really argue. Legislature might be as lenient as you say, but this is one of those times the companies' are actually stricter. They will not stock toy guns that aren’t brightly colored so that they can be identified as toys from a distance. Nerf Megatron is actually below their standards now in terms of coloration. Hasbro cannot sell a G1 accurate Megatron anymore, and that’s the bottom line.

Retailers also dont wanna sell realsitic guns. They tried rereleasing g1 megatrin in chrome blue and safety orange back in like 2005 and no one pi cked it up. The reason airsoft is an exception is because they arent technically toys. You need to be an adult to pur hase them.

Re: Megatron gun mode, there are absolutely legal issues. Every state has different laws that need to be considered, and even some cities. For example New Jersey outright prohibits all realistic toy guns. Airsoft guns have a legal age minimum, which again varies by state, but can be as high as 18 years old, whereas Transformers are still marketed as children's toys. Hasbro is not going to want to deal with the legal headache of selling a realistic toy gun. I think the artillery cannon idea is a good one, but I think you're right that the fallen is a pretool unfortunately.

I think the artillery cannon should just be a galvatron thing. Megatron needs to be upgraded, so his altmode shouldn't be similar to galvatron.

The former tied in with G.I Joe perfectly well - garish colours and all -, while the latter became a full-on playset inflating his alt mode into something that should've been Jetfire-sized. My only confusion from these reveals is the new Bumblebee. The old one was constantly criticised for looking inaccurate because it was based off the beta model for the character when the move was in development. The door wings being the thing that was pointed out the most as it made him look really inaccurate. The new one is a slight improvement but still has those inaccurate door wings, yet from what I've seen no one seems that upset about them this time. I just find that weird.

The render for DOTM Shockwave always had that super bright purple. In person it's like a dark plum dry brushed effect. It looks cool, but maybe I'm biased seeing as how he's one of the few Bayverse designs I love.

They did actually address that in the 1027 livestream. They are very aware of the problems with breakdown and menasor in general and are working to fix that. Every member is gonna be released in 2025. No 2 year plan. Theyre also gonna release 2 member at a time in a 3 to 4 month period. Theyre also doing less waves a year, 4 to three, so that some figures stay on shelves longer and allow more new molds to be done. The only caviot I can think of for some people is the release strategy. Bonecrusher and scrapper first as a deluxe and voyager Long laul and hook as a commander priced 2 pack with all the combiner accessories And then finally scavenger and mixmaster as the last deluxe and voyager. Personally, I think this is kinda brilliant. Allows the arms to not be too heavy for combined mode, the legs are denser and have the ankle tilt worked into them, and we get all the combiner stuff in one package. One last note, no box set immediately after releasing them all. Theyre gonna hold off a year or 2 at least as to not upset collectors.

As stated in the 1027 livestream last month 86 Devastator will be released in three waves in 2025 and will have 2-3 month gaps in between so it gives people a chance to collect each component without fear of missing them. They knew how hard it was for people to get Breakdown for the Legacy Menasor so they didn’t want to make the same mistake again.

I’m so damn excited for the Fallen. I’ve always loved the Dreamwave design, and even though this figure isn’t fully accurate to what I’ve seen from comic images, I can accept this as a “G1ifacaton version” of the character. A little less detailed and chunkier looking is what I mean, like many G1 designs. He’ll look great with my other Generations figures in my display. Such a cool design, and now that you mention it, this does look like a heavy, _heavy_ remould of the Siege Megatron. That picture of his back really makes it apparent with the way the back kibble is. Additionally, I won’t hate the Fallen mould if it turns out that SS86 Megatron borrows from it (or vice versa), but regardless, that weird cannon on his back practically screams SS86 retool. Fans should brace themselves!

Oh Perspective. Just a few things I’d like to comment as a fellow Transformers fan. I love your channel, I love most of your opinions and you’re generally a fun and entertaining reviewer. Just talking about these new reveals make me giddy. I’m super stoked for the movie guys in particular. Just a few things, no, Shockwave isn’t getting rereleased more purple. That render is just the original render they used for the figure. Likely it’ll still be dark with the small shades of purple included, which that design is fuckin’ sick. Knight Optimus looks identical to the original TLK Voyager from 2017, a solid figure, but I do like the more accurate details. I just hope this figure will be better in person. Hatchet is also another figure I love, and personally I don’t have any issues with him. I’m just super stoked to put him with my TLK Berserker (who I’ve just decided to name Crankcase) and SS Crowbar. And finally, Wheeljack from Dotm is my favorite reveal. I love how he looks, and please, oh please, we need to just accept that yes, that is Wheeljack. I personally think the idea that Que “slanders” Wheeljack’s name is straight up stupid. But, again, it’s your opinion and that’s fine. I just think Que is just about a perfect adaptation of Wheeljack’s character, even if the design is so unique. Anywho, please continue your content. And don’t take my critiques or opinions as any shade towards you.

Gonna give these bots an individual mention (for the most part) SS86 Jazz reissue - Already got this guy from the 5 pack, but hope they sorted out the clear plastic problem from the original. SS DOTM Shockwave reissue - I first thought this was going to be KSI Two Heads before seeing it was a Shockwave reissue. SSGE WOC Ironhide - He does have some differences on him over Ratchet (besides the head and different weapons), wondering on getting more Decepticons that aren't repaints. SS AOE Optimus Prime - Happy to see this as the TLK version from 2017, while good for it's time has been in need for a update with more posing joints as well as better looking weapons. SS VW Beetle Bumblebee - Also happy to see this version of BB getting an update as the original toy wasn't great with all the kibble and such. SS DOTM Que - About time he finally got a new toy. His obscure original fig was in need of a improved update, especially with the face. SS ROTB Apelink - Not much to say about this. Wonder if I'll bother picking him up or not. SS86 Devastator, Scrapper and Bonecrusher - Basically a downscaled version of the CW version, which I'm fine with as well as approve of some of the improvements done to the bots. Scrapper looks like the CW version except downscaled and added elbows while Bonecrusher feels stumpy, though at least looking more solid over the original CW version. AOTP The Fallen - Nice to have a Generations version of the Fallen, though I can see him being retooled into a SS86 Megatron. The Takara Power Core Combiner thingy - First time, I've heard of this. Does look interesting enough for me to keep an eye on. Sorry for all that, just thought I'd says what I thought of each.

Another thing about Stationary Cannon Megatron. For the G1 Toy and Masterpiece, the Stock and Silencer were actually able combine to form, A Stationary Cannon. So 86 Megatron's alt mode could've been a reference to that. If you want an even deeper cut lore Reference, in Heavy Metal War, Megatron was originally going to gain a jet mode after gettng all the powers of the Decepticons in that episode. So they also could've also went with that for SS86.

Megatronus is the figure I’ve been desperately waiting for and God I’m glad hasbro didn’t drop the ball on him. Dreamwave design, decent scale in height as far as I can tell, good accessories, no screwed up shoulder system like Tarn/Hot Rod or smaller shoulder joints hidden under big covers like Laser Prime or Armada Megatron. Genuinely cannot wait to get him

The fallen is an absolute must have for me, I NEED that figure so goddamn much, devastator looks good as well The movie figures look good, except que, more because I hate that design so goddamn much And I am cautious about the AOE Optimus, it has a couple things that look weird. Edit: I’m not joking, I found ten ROTB primals in one target, and half of them were on the floor.

those budget cuts from combiner wars to now must of hit hard because they said the reason that scrapper was a voyager was because they cant fit ratchet joints into a deluxe budget and have it have multiple modes which is crazy when you look back at combiner wars where nearly every figure had a ratchet built in. also the lack of wrist swivel is kinda weird and you forgot to cover the new magic square swindle unless im forgetting that you already did

Even the Deluxes in CW Had ratchet joints in their chests. I didn't forget, this was all just Chug stuff, and so it's good I saved that considering the second this video was set to go live there were a TON of 3P reveals.

Little thing about the Fallen, many people pointed out that his hip skirts aren’t accurate, and have two dots on them when his dreamwave depiction only had one. This is leading many people to believe the eventual retool for the Fallen isn’t 86 Megatron, but instead one of the IDW Megatron designs, though the jury’s out on which since his kibble layout doesn’t fully match any of them

Ok fair. But… while i have a lot of love for cw, it… wasn‘t the greatest thing. The proportions, and due to its age (and me being a stupid brat of a child) it has lost a lot of tabs and struggles to hold together now. If they refresh the cw, that‘s great! But please fix its biggest flaws..

Is it me or do the 86 constructicons feel a little under engineered. Idk if it’s just cause they don’t look the best poseability wise or the ball joints on the deluxes but it feels… off. I guess a lot of the budget does go towards combined mode. Also finally someone points out scrapper not looking attached correctly in leg mode! I really hope that’s not what it looks like on full release.

8:01 from what I can recall and looking at the reactivate leaks I could potentially see this maybe being used later down the road for that version of Megatron. That or an Idw Megatron because this mold is too good not to be used for a G1 styled Megatron down the line, just not studio series 86

Star Convoy is a Prime because he literally is Optimus Prime. They seem to be going with the idea that Star Convoy is what Optimus Prime was when he was the 13th. Which is a cool idea, but I still don't like Optimus being one of the 13. Hopefully they make a Zeta later so people can have the TF One Primes.
