I just love how Jenny and Tuck re-enact a scene from the horror movie that one of them wanted to see! Future Shock is one of my favorite episodes from Season 2!

Both "Future Shock" and "Humilitation 101" are among my favorite episodes of the entire series (as are Misty's first two episodes, "Teen Team Time" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Troubles.") There are of course many S1 episodes I love as well, but four of my favorites being in S2 is nothing to sneeze at. And IIRC, Jenny says in this episode, that they won't let anybody into the movie without a date, so Brad couldn't go by himself if he wanted (assuming what Jenny said was true.) I agree on MLAATR being the best-looking Nicktoon, and I don't even think it's close. One of the reasons I fell in love with the show was its animation style, and one of the reasons I'm still a massive fan is because it looked and felt more like a Cartoon Network show than a traditional Nicktoon. As I've said many times before, this is probably attributable at least partially to the fact that Rob Renzetti worked on PowerPuff Girls, Dexter's Lab and Samurai Jack for CN before creating MLAATR for Nick. I also agree on Jenny and Brad being better as BFFs (which they already are) than a couple. In a previous video you said that Sheldon would be a better boyfriend for Jenny (again, an opinion I share), but was that script written by another member of the channel? Where do you get the idea of Kiki going with Brad before Don? I've never heard anything like that before.
@MyLifeasaTeenageRobotFanbase Жыл бұрын
I’ve written nearly every video on the channel, and I did write that I think Sheldon is the better pick, but as I’ve grown older I’ve changed my mind about that. I’d like to push out a new video about it. And about the romance between Kiki and Don Prima, wasn’t that mentioned in the episode?

@hotwax9376 Жыл бұрын
@@MyLifeasaTeenageRobotFanbase It might have been by Jenny, now that you mention it. As for Sheldon, I hope you didn't change your mind because of MeToo. Yes, some of the things Sheldon did came off as stalking (in his first episode Jenny even calls him a "stalker,") but that's also pretty common behavior for RL teenagers toward their crushes. (It certainly was for me in high school.)

While they say curiosity killed the cat, which is almost what happened to Jenny in this episode. But it shows that persistence (and curiosity) does wield results! Something I can relate to, uh...minus the death traps anyway. And more so surfing the web for info on a specific topic.😅 Tuck's also a bit relatable here. Given the amount of context he got, which resulted in him jumping to conclusions. Something I used to do as a content creator, but it's also something I see the internet doing plenty of, rather than getting the full context on anything. But yeah, this was a great episode! Probably one of my favs next to Escape From Cluster prime, See No Evil, Boy Who Cried Robot & Unlicensed Flying Object. Also glad to be back to edit this one! This was a really fun one to work on!

My favourite season among the three seasons of MLAATR has always been Season 2. It seems like the writers really grasped what worked and what didn't in the first season and made an effort to enhance the strengths while improving the weaknesses. This particular episode, along with "A Robot for All Seasons," serves as a fantastic introduction to the season for several reasons. The plot has become more captivating, the scenes are more memorable, and even the characters who aren't Jenny have become slightly less lifeless than before. One of my favourite scenes from the entire show came from this episode. And it was the one where it looked like Jenny just straight up murdered Brad through Tuck's view of the future because it feels so out of place in the best way possible. They could've just made something way less interesting for a misunderstanding, but I like that they went to the extreme with this, as not only is it surprising, but it also makes the viewer wonder what's actually going to happen. Because, you know, I doubt many people believe that they're just going to casually kill off one of the main characters to start off a new season. 💀 It's just a really well-made scene, in my opinion. The only minor issue I have with it is Brad's role in the episode (and that includes most of his roles in almost every episode). I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I never liked Brad as a character; he's either not doing anything meaningful, funny, or relatable within the episode that he's in, or he's just a bland plot device just to make Jenny do something. He just never felt like a character to me, and I just don't like how often the shows use him because he often gets loads of screen time yet doesn't really do a whole lot of interesting things with that time, in my opinion. He's always been a least favourite of mine in the show for that reason. Other than that, great episode! Easily in my top 10 favourites from the entire show!

Honestly, the scene when Jenny asked Brad about his date was how I got into this show. Honestly, I love this episode, after rewatching it was actually hilarious and loved how they did the scene from the movie where tuck and Jenny fought. Loved how it showed a dynamic between Jenny and Tuck.
