Although, I did rewatched this episode. At first I thought Sheldon once again wanted Jenny’s attention. Which he did again. But this episode was like Sheldon planning to date jenny but things didn’t go exactly as planned.

Everybody has something they care about (I think about Joey's foosball table in the Friends finale, which I'm aware of despite never actually watching the show) but when you care about a nonliving, inanimate object more than a living person, then you clearly don't have your priorities straight.

Sheldon didn't necessarily trip on Jenny's locker; he got his foot caught on a skateboard and ran into an open locker door that may or may not have been Jenny's. It could be that she just happened to be there in that moment. I always felt for Sheldon (literally) biting his tongue, because anybody who's ever done that IRL knows how much it hurts. There have even been a few times while eating where I accidentally bit my tongue or the inside of my cheek so hard that I made it bleed. Similarly, while Don is certainly petty to care so much about his shoes (his "favorite Italian loafers" as he tells Jenny), I can also sympathize with him: I'm kind of a shoe guy, enough that I frequently watch several shoe cobbler channels here on YT. (My personal favorites are Bedo's Leatherworks, Trenton & Heath, Cobblers Plus and Tring Shoe Repair.) I've even considered learning the trade in case my current career plans don't work out. I'm also subscribed to Emily Jeanne, a professional dancer in NYC who does a fair number of videos about dance shoes. I could go on and on about that and how I got into it (I partially blame Cinderella's glass slippers and Jessie's long boots in the Pokemon anime), but that's a completely different rabbit hole. (And before you ask, no, I'm not gay, trans or bisexual, if it wasn't clear already.) Also, the fact that Jenny went on a date with the Silver Shell in "Dancing with the Shell" doesn't necessarily mean that she didn't learn her lesson in this episode. She was bummed because her mother wouldn't let her go to the Sadie Hawkins dance with a boy and was desperate to find an out, and Sheldon was equally desperate to have her ask him to it, so he suggested she go with the Shell because he was a robot and not really a boy (kind of like how Jenny's body was only five years old despite her being designed as a teenager.) That way, he gave Jenny the excuse she needed if Wakeman learned that she'd gone to the dance with a boy, and he got to have a date with her, if only in disguise. When people are desperate enough for something, they will often disregard their past mistakes, even if they learned from them. (While we're on the subject, I actually really appreciate the way that episode plays on both Jenny and Sheldon's motives, and while Wakeman wasn't wrong to think that letting Jenny take a boy to the dance would complicate things too much, Jenny also wasn't wrong to think that it defeated the purpose of going to the Sadie Hawkins dance in the first place.)

@@MyLifeasaTeenageRobotFanbase It could be intentional, since it's another animated science fiction series that debuted only a year before MLAATR, and the real JFK (like Don) was rich, handsome, and very much a ladies' man (as his affairs with women like Marilyn Monroe demonstrate). Kennedy was also extremely charismatic, and Don was likable on the surface until you got to know him better, so there a little bit of similarity there too.

I like this episode because its about identity Sheldon creates a alter ego because he doesnt know his identity its definitely a highlight of this episode also a big thing especially in the teen years

Sheldon actually created the Silver Shell in "Shell Game," and he did so to try and persuade Jenny that she didn't really want to fall in love with a robot boy. It had nothing to do with Sheldon not knowing his identity.

Interesting enough, Don never was Interested in Jenny at all, but since she was the last person to try dating. I get and do not get why Sheldon had to overreact, reasonable due to being enemies, but two things. If Sheldon had not interfered and Don didnt have to act like a paranoid freak. Jenny and Don could've hit it off a little bit. Within defense, If Sheldon had not acted too jealous, it would've been fine. But in offense, If Don didnt have to be such a spoiled brat and a prick. Who knows how it would've worked

For me, this episode was average, not particularly good or bad. It's definitely better than "Shell Game", but not by a lot. There's simply not a lot to say about it, which makes it quite forgettable (like a lot of other episodes in the series, I forget more than half of the show often). But I think it would've been slightly better if Don was rude to Jenny at the start of the episode to make Sheldon a bit more justified for ruining their date. But it's still fine. As for the Silver Shell himself, in my opinion, each episode that he's in gets better and better as the series goes on. The last one, "A Pain In My Sidekick", is actually my favourite episode in the whole show, even though it barely involves the main character. It's just an "alright" episode.

I'm excited to talk about the other two Silver Shell episodes! This is the first time I've heard of someone particularly loving "A Pain in My Sidekick", so that's got me excited for my upcoming revisit of it!

I think what really helps that episode is that it has far less focus on Sheldon's crush, and shows that he is starting to grow friendships with Jenny's other friends. Throughout the episode you could tell he was genuinely concerned about Tuck putting himself in danger. It also provides a pretty satisfying end to the arc, with Sheldon fully retiring from the super hero role (admittedly I would have liked one more episode where Jenny finally finds out, but maybe that will happen in Rob's ongoing newsletter)

Actually Sheldon was being a bit over baring and a stalker but at the same time Jenny was willing to throw her friendship away with someone who has stayed by her side and has helped her on numerous occasions along with the fact that Don prima didn't care about Jenny she was just a list to him which Sheldon rightfully called out while a stalker he was still looking out for her albeit out of jealousy but at least he cares about her well being if anything Sheldon was justified in being angry at her

This is one of the worst episodes! I really hate Don for mentally and verbally abusing Sheldon! I can't believe Jenny allowed Don to talk badly about him! I think the only reason Don walked over to Jenny's locker is because he knew Sheldon was trying to ask her out, and he wanted to hurt him! Even though Don got what he deserved at the end, he (and Jenny) still should have been forced to apologize to Sheldon! If Don had just treated Sheldon with all the respect he deserves like he was supposed to, didn't act like such a jerk, and didn't steal Jenny from him like he was not supposed to, his shoe wouldn't have been scuffed!
