Love the Shadow Child track breakdowns. Don't understand why people have such an issue with his honesty. He makes great house tracks. I think people often undervalue the significance and impact of simplicity.

FYI: The synth used for the bell sound sits in the studio. Roland JX8p preset: Music box, lowest key. Robin accidently bumped into the key while grabbing something. That's how it ended up in the track.

@dave spoon how do u get your drums sooo darn nice! literally every sound in all his tracks sound so nice! i think cos he uses classic house drumloops and sounds which trigger the nostalgia in my brain.!!

How is he using multiple DAWs at once (Reason and Logic) to arrange and play out the track in one sequence ?

Why do producers never talk about arrangement? How you got your sound is of no interest to me. Arranging a track, what happens in bar 1 to the last bar is HOW you learn to produce good tracks. Mixing and mastering can be left to mixing and mastering engineers.

Well he's called the House Master, right, so that implies he makes house. And yes, I do make music, and sometimes I even make house too, so I think I know what I'm talking about. It's just that if I made just house, I wouldn't need all the equipment I have. In current house, everything gets 'mastered' beyond any recognition anyway. Nowadays house is so formulaic that literally anyone can do it. It's like paint by numbers.

Bart Klein Reesink I don't, really. I just think it's a shame that such beautiful instruments are used for such generic music. Kindof like using a stradivarius to play a polka.
