One of my fav brushes I have is one I have had since I was about 5, an Early Learning Center 1/4" round brush, I am sure its made from dwarf beard hair. Owe my mum one for keeping hold of it for over 45 years then giving it back to me 'for my kids'..... If you went to school in the UK in the 70's or 80's you would have used one of these, built like a brick outhouse, use it for glue, basing compound, cleaning off support bits from printed things, or slapping cheap Hobbycraft acrylics all over terrain bits.

Since you made sure to mention it I feel I must yell, "AAAAHHHH! Small brush for big areas! AAAAHHHH!" I ended up solving this by buying a set of like 50 flat craft brushes off of Amazon for dirt cheap.

If you're ever wanting to get some bigger paint brushes, you might be able to pick up a pack in any craft store, and some make-up brushes would also work well for drybrushing and stippling (depending on the size the brush)

Use what ever brush you like. I use large flatt brushes on large pieces, be that vehicles or terrain. It both saves time and leaves a smooth finish, using small brushes can leave a bit of edges, uneven layers or unwanted "texture" etc. But i am not triggered by you using small brushes on large pieces, go with what you have and what you like. The goal is to get from "grey" plastic to painted models in the color of your choice, not how you get there. =)

Love your vids. The film sounds like a great idea. I reckon a short 1 or 2 minute one would be much easier than 5 minutes to start with. The scripting of dialogue and / or stop motion work required for each minute can make you regret a longer film length.

It's something of an ongoing problem,really. Everyone wants to be the guy who comes up with the "perfect solution" for reusable terrain,but no one really knows how. I've seen a lot of ideas but all have their short comings. I think the one I like best is the magnetic tiles. They're basically children's toys but you can get them fairly cheap and with some paint and kibble,you can make some pretty nice terrain. The downside is,of course,they'll be pretty uniform and won't have much flexibility. And then you have stuff like this and Dungeons & Lasers. It looks nice but it's pricier and you still have to paint it and do whatever kitbashing needs done. And it's pretty inflexible in it's own way. There's always wood and cardboard,which are the cheapest options but they require the most work. I dunno. Is there a perfect solution? Probably but I haven't figured it out yet.

Pretty cool video as always. Love your painting, you always get great effect. I wonder, you should try toothpicks instead and see how the triggering goes. :P. Maybe I will try that on my channel :P I absolutely love your videos and your painting. My upcoming video involves a toothpick and paint.

Haha to the toothpicks, yup I could paint with small dots although that may be a bit time consuming lol 🙂

Love Lego! Isn't it weird that GW wants you to play certian ways, but the terrian always lean another, or you have to build on top of it (game scenarios)? Haven't seen the air brush either. Any word on fantasy style with this system? Why not, just do a crammed video of all the past cinamatics as a tester? Small rubble (micro foam bricks, pebbles, wood shavings, small off cuts) in a pile help too. Also, Noise Marine Kill Team?

Hey Allen! I'm going to be working on faction/fantasy specific versions once this Kickstarter concludes! For the Core set, I tried to make it as setting agnostic as possible. It's just swords, skulls, and masonry, so shouldn't be too out of place on a fantasy table as it is now

The Snot Goblin stuff really looks nice, but for "Lego-like" molded-plastic toys, (and that's all it is) it's just way over-priced. To each their own. Thanks for the video.

It's about scale. If they had millions of customers they could be cheaper. Also if they're printing in China expect them to appear on EBay too.
@MarkLewis...
@MarkLewis... 2 ай бұрын
@@darthkek1953 Scale? Respectfully, no. Business is always about Cost vs Revenue. They (each piece) costs pennies to make.
@darthkek1953

@@MarkLewis... Respectfully, try sourcing items from wholesalers. The bigger the scale (1, 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000, etc.) the vaster the price drops per unit. Plus there is the fixed costs of mouldings.
@snotgoblin4066
@snotgoblin4066 2 ай бұрын
@@MarkLewis... Hi Mark! sure, that's the cost per piece--but it's an incredibly over-simplified view. injection molds require a MASSIVE up front, fixed cost. R&D, design, engineers, multinational taxes, distribution, warehousing, freight shipping......... you're right, it's all about Cost vs Revenue--I absolutely wish I could create these in a vacuum for a few cents and teleport them to customers for free, but it just isn't possible. For a full table of terrain, it's about the same price as non-modular options and considerably cheaper than GW. I kept the price as low as was feasible, but if it isn't for you, no worries.

@@snotgoblin4066 I appreciate your response and I truly hope you succeed. I am a retired successful businessman of 40+ years. (Rest./Bars, I understand business.) You are asking people, customers, to immediately absorb 100% of your business cost, and that's just unrealistic, but I hope you get it. Good luck
