Much of this work is publicly searchable via Google scholar, and I recommend it as a resource if you would like to know more about the subject...

I lived in Hong Kong. When I actually got there, I realized it wasn't Blade Runner city. It has pockets of futuristic design for those who visit, but you get over it when you realize it is really a third world city, masquerading as a financial hub. You'll be impressed if you visit, but when you stay, you get to know it and it isn't as impressive. You don't get a Blade Runner feel.
