this should be named something like LOW-COST-DYI-LEGO-Laptop, in fact the LCD Screen and the RPI4 itself aren't soo cheap, probably with same components' costs you can affort good condition 2nd hand table and a keyboard or a pretty decent laptop

Appreciate your Effort but the Laptop looks Age-old, big, huge, less efficient low-end processor and you label your video as Futuristic, you could have titled as DIY

It is indeed an interesting project, the space left in the internal case it's too wide, would be better to profit this by adding more I/O and even a subwoofer to have richer sound.

If you painted the entirety of the casing a complimentary metal-black and silver for different parts and maybe laser cut some openings on the back and put in LED lights and things like that it would look futuristic.

Your cabinet design is good but you didn't put a bezel for the display. It's also not reasonable to invest on a wireless keyboard to use it as a wired one. Can you create a wired keyboard with trackpad/joystick using the 3D printer?

The reason the first hdmi cable didn't work after you tried to use copper wire is because the copper wire was not insulated from the others. The metal on metal contact from the other wires doesn't let the signal to remain organized.
@dafoex Жыл бұрын
The copper wires are likely coated in a clear enamel, which insulates them. I think the reason it didn't work could either be interference, since the wires are not shielded from electrical noise, or human error, since its easy to make a wrong connection when soldering the 20 wires of an HDMI cable.

The grey colour is a bad choice. Maybe blue or red in a toned down hue or glaring like the yellow which I like here for the parts chosen to be yellow. It's like a race car when we chose extreme designs for "laptops" in my opinion. A simple thing as a big number on your race car also helps. I wish you the best.

This thing looks awesome. The only thing I don't like and this is personal opinion is Windows 11. I know that if I don't like it I can install whatever operating sistem I want but I seriously think that Windows should not be allowed anywhere near single board computers as it is still the most security risk OS there is. Personally this would be perfect for Twister OS if somebody wants a Windows like OS.
