He fits everything together so neatly. I'd have excess wires hanging out and have to cut extra holes in the case because I put the board in sideways or backward. Nice job! I just might give it a try.

Pretty interesting. Only major issue as someone not that into electronics, but kind of a no brainer is, will this not over heat? No vents or a fan for cooling. Even I know that something that small needs some way of cooling off, especially if used for more than just a few minutes at a time.

Yes its true even though the lack of liquid chemicals in modern batteries reduces risks of damage and explosions due to boiling, you should be very fast at doing that anyway... And maybe just melt the wire a little before attaching it, for sure its wrong to leave a "pool" of molten metal in the battery`s surface.....

Let me start by saying I think this was a cool project. Good job. I personally don't think you can't take an off the shelf SBC and use battery cells like that and ever hope to fit it in a normal "pocket". You'd have to create your own PCB and use a thin and flat battery. I'd love to see a project done like that. Keep working hard.

It’s perfect for those who need a potable Windows or Linux based touch screen solution. For instance, I would use one for recording to Reaper/ProTools and also control my interface (Midas 18 Channel) all in one sitting. The transfer of the project to another PC or Mac would be a breeze - compared to doing so on an iPad or Android tablet. Android and iOS are limited. I’m currently using an iPad to to control my interface and then using a MacBook/Laptop or my Mac Mini to record into. This little device would eliminate the bulkier recording solution and the need to find a efficient way to transfer my stems to my DAW (Logic Pro X or Reaper).

Forget the ancient stuff... if you can still manage to find/purchase a LattePanda Alpha 864 with the Intel M3-7y30 then you have the same processor as the recent Macbook Pro's and can run MacOSX 10.14 Mojave... might be difficult to source now though as due to an Intel supply shortage for that processor LP Alpha 864's are now being supplied with an 8th Gen Intel M3-8100y... luckily I got in early and have the M3-7y30 model but it might still be doable with the latter - possibly? Anyways... triple boot Win 10/Ubuntu & Mojave here I come! :)
