Thanks to all who pointed this out and good luck getting through one of the most hated gaming dungeons of all time! Fuzz
The person who is responsible for the design of this zone is my lifelong Nemesis. I will have nightmares for a very long time so thank you for that.
Anyway, I edit out most of the pain so my viewers are left with a (relatively) easy to follow step-by-step guide to collecting the remaining treasures of the Great Crystal. As always for this place, there is no map, so follow my instructions carefully.
Once you are at the blue save crystal you are able to farm for Gendarme (the games's ultimate shield). Check out my previous video for help on how to do that:

Final Fantasy 12 was first released way back in 2006 on the PS2. At the time, it was considered somewhat controversial by many Final Fantasy fans due to its departure from traditional FF gameplay. However, it is now looked back on fondly and many would consider Final Fantasy XII to be the best entry in the franchise. In 2007 the International Zodiac edition was released (in Japan only), and this version of the game included a more traditional job-based system and a new battle areana. For this remastered release, these additional changes are being brought to us fans in the West for the first time ever - along with high resolution textures and remastered soundtrack!

I am happy this has helped many people. However, I made this video after defeating Ultima and I did not think at the time that would interfere with one of the gates (Virgo). What's annoying is that when you opened the Virgo gate in your Ultima video you said, it didn't matter whether we opened gate 1 or 2 when apparently, it does.

Yeah it would have been cool if you made a video on how to get from Virgo 2 to unlocking it and back - since you kinda screwed over some people and made it more frustrating than helpful. Since now they're (myself included) would be left off with an autosave and a closed Virgo 2 which your guide just says "hey walk through here"

Edit: Tried again, and found a sharp turn I had missed before at one of the many circular nodes. That led me to lower waystones, until I finally found my way back to Giruvegan, where I saved properly at the blue crystal. My rage came from thinking I was at an inescapable dead end. While still frustrating, I did find good treasures, in particular Shellga. (Hastega will have to wait.) I also leveled up my party a fair amount, so not a waste of time after all. Sorry I jumped the gun. Original Post: I just wasted 90 minutes of my life following your video. I'll take responsibility for the other 30 minutes of life gone trying to find a way out, to no avail. With that Virgo gate blocked, there is no way out, meaning not only did I waste all that time, but I also lost all the treasures and levels gained fighting these tough enemies. Multiply my tale by the number of your dislikes. Maybe you can then change the title of your video as a more immediate warning to your viewers that this video is worse than a waste of time without first watching another one.

Ok If you're stuck at Virgo II: from the Virgo II gate being behind you go - right, left ( libra platform), left (XVI platform), right, only path, left (capricorn platform). Hit Cap and back track to XVI which is back out the way you came, right only path, straight. Open C1. Hit Virgo and go Right (XVI platform), Right (libra platform), right, it'll be the gate on your left.

The fact that you begin this video with a sigh is all that anyone ever needs to know about this area hahaha. That was certainly 3-4 hours of my life I wish I could have back (decided to do it all while I was down there - Ultima, Gendarme, and this guide to getting all the magic) and without you, I'd be lost, literally, in the great crystal forever. I saw someone liked my post, so I did actually figure out how to go around that gate and still get my items, the other gate was open for me, so I had to go around, every time he mentions that gate, I had to visualize my route around, hope that helps, I'm on my phone and I'll try to explain it in detail later

I played this game years ago on ps2 and spent hours and hours of rage in this dungeon, without being able to complete it. and now, playing zodiac age remake on my Playstation 5, your video guide simply saved my life, as even with some maps of the area, it was extremely difficult to find the right combination of directions and gates. I remember helping a French streamer out of the great crystal. Contrary to popular belief, I think this is one of the greatest dungeons in gaming history. It's twisting mazelike bowels are a huge metaphor for the incomprehensible nature of the Divine in ivalice. I remember fearing the great crystal as a kid, because I didn't have internet access so I couldn't find a map. I fondly remember wandering into the dark depth of the place and getting slain by an ash wyrm. But eventually I stumbled on Excalibur and was so happy. Nowadays I run around with berserker genji khumba vaan with bravery bubble and haste. All I have left to do is beat Omega.

Let me say first I consider this the worst designed level in any videogame I have ever played. A large part of me hopes whatever person designed this level does not work on another game ever again. If you have found this video for the first time, please, please, PLEASE just do exactly what it said. I had already done most of the dungeon including Ultima before this and thought I could skip ahead to get Hastega. PLEASE DON'T. It is MUCH more efficient to just do the entire video and live with the backtracking over treasures you already have.

That means the other Capricorn gate is open or closed. Only one can be opened at a time pick a path and open the gates accordingly on that path. Their are old map from the ps2 era that still works for this version of the game on google. I still have mine that I printed out in highschool. Pick the open that shows where the chest are located esper ,final mark and where each gate is too. Have fun!
