Final Fantasy 12 was first released way back in 2006 on the PS2. At the time, it was considered somewhat controversial by many Final Fantasy fans due to its departure from traditional FF gameplay. However, it is now looked back on fondly and many would consider Final Fantasy XII to be the best entry in the franchise. In 2007 the International Zodiac edition was released (in Japan only), and this version of the game included a more traditional job-based system and a new battle areana. For this remastered release, these additional changes are being brought to us fans in the West for the first time ever - along with high resolution textures and remastered soundtrack!

I agree. But I actually have my guide from 10 years ago. It is 99% accurate. I even have the map it came with which is very cool and have it on the wall. This is the only guide I have ever bought.

Dakota Hawkins It used to be that things would be relatively straightforward and not TOO cryptic but we'd have to keep pen and paper journal of notes. I actually found that quite fun; made the adventure really feel like it was yours.

Played this game from original release in 2006 and did everything including this 3 medallions hidden quest chain. It was one of the most fun puzzles to figure out because this was needed to unlock the sealed doors in Nabrudis to an esper boss chaos. This was also the original place where the famous Zodiac Spear use to be in a room full of 16 chests but to obtain that from the original FF12 PS2 you had to never ever open one of the 4 forbidden chests. One near Dalan’s house, 2nd in the palace that contains an elixir, 3rd in nalbina dungeon where you collect all your belongings and the 16 chests in Phon coast stacked in a long line. The 16 chests in necrohol of Nabrudis you can collect and one of the chest contained the zodiac spear with 150AP, adds +8 evasion and 4% chance to combo hit. In the zodiac age the version we currently have now obtaining the zodiac spear is from hemme mines but getting it back in PS2 version early on in a place that is high level was the biggest achievement I ever accomplished at level 35 and it was so hard to run away from them mobs in there.

just a thing to make this a little easier after taking to the npc in old dalan's I was able to go to kytes by the garamscythe waterway entrance and get the same clue about "city streets" instead of finding filo. just a minor shortcut love the vids they really help re-play this game after 6 years

So instead of the Mythril Blade, did you get 801 Gil as well in the Nabreus Deadlands? Because in my game, in the exact same spot it says, "You obtain 801 Gil" I guess that's the "Punishment" for buying the original for PS2 14 years ago, even though no one had a clue that The Zodiac Age would be released someday, two console generations ahead. -_-

Make sure you have spoken to the npc at the blue save crystal in Nebreas Deadlands first. Nothing else will happen until you have done that.

@@Johnsavage1 You might have realised by now but nothing locks you out of doing this sidequest shy of going to the Bahamut (point of no return). The items you need for the quest are all key items. The only loot item that has a (small) impact on a sidequest is if you sold your Great Serpentskin that you would have got from completing another hunt.

This is a little late, but if you go into the abandoned house after the wraith hunt, there's a letter on the desk that gives you directions on what order to open/close the gates.

Awefule walkthrough. First you show the chests in the north, which have nothing to do with the quest and then you mention like six minutes in, that there is an elite hunt to be done before -.- Your other guides are quite useful, but on this one you dropped the ball
