What barrel length and bottle was on this gun? I live up in Canada so the FX Impact is quite expensive around $2800 then you add tax. Do you know anyone who sells reconditioned FX impacts and do you recommend buying a reconditioned FX gun? Excellent video of clear and concise.

Love this overview of the M3. I’m still torn between buying this or a Wildcat MKIII BT. I may just wind up going with the wildcat because my use case isn’t further than 100 to 150 years and the Wildcat is easier to walk around with and requires less tuning

Hello, I have an impact that is only about 6months old. It has started to leak. And it just won’t fill all the way to capacity. Do you have any recommendations for leak detection fluid? Brand? With it not wanting to fill completely, does that mean it’s in between the fill port and the bottle? Thank you so much for any help.

great video, quite informative, BUT a warning about your statement at 8:15 that is for AIR GUNS ONLY, if you do this with a 12 Gage shotgun you have a "squib" load {when you put a smaller shell into a shotgun than the calibre its cut for, esp. when its behind a correct shell(double loading a barrel)}, so twice the rated 'bang' happens inside the chamber, so it overstretches the capacity of the steel the chamber is made of, and BANG, the whole gun blows in your hands!!!- same when you reload your own ammo, and put too much powder in!!.

Yes you can but the bottle will be longer than the barrel 😉 simple fix with a 30mm diameter moderator to make up for the difference

Do they make a Left Hand FX Impact M3? This FX version appears to have the pellet loader protruding further from the right side than the left side. Also the cheek rest on the left side depth is shorter than the depth on the right side. I understand the cocking lever is ambidextrous. Thanks.

The magazine doesn’t cause an issue for lefties. 3rd party companies like Saber Tactical and Kraford & Lypt offer left handed cheek pieces

J'ai acheté ce modèle en .177 standard. J'ai eu une fuite au manomètre du régulateur 1 et ensuite au raccord de la bouteille. J'ai changé les 3 joints de ce régulateur et ça refuite de nouveau. De plus, je pense que mon revendeur n'avait pas ce modèle en stock et a modifié un autre calibre pour me le vendre. En cause, un canon trop loin de quelques dixièmes de mm et je n'arrivais pas à mettre le chargeur et les 2 vis qui maintiennent le canon devant le rail de la lunette étaient desserrées. L'étiquette qui est colée sur la caisse de Tpt a été modifiée à la main pour le calibre. Ca vaut +/- 2000 € ... Bon amusement à tous...

Ok. So i get the first compressed air cylinder , found in all air guns. But the second air cylinder is for ...what again...???

If think you are referring to the plenum ? The big first cylinder is the air reservoir to store the high pressure air . The second smaller chamber is called the plenum ( compare it to the amount of gun powder in a bullet casing ) and you have to look at it like the lungs of the gun . This is the working pressure the gun is operating at ( example: reservoir 250 bar , plenum 125bar )

What's the best weight slug to tune the M3 to shoot over a 100 yards in 22?

Using my standard M3 ( pre power block) sniper setup, ie 700mm superior liner as it came from the factory, not heavy liner Only fitted a slug probe and heavier hammer. Using H&N 30grain .218 @ 985 fps gives me the best results. Sub MOA was possible all day long. Best group 15mm. Open air conditions. (BTW Using 68yr old eyes) Tune Ist reg 165bar, 2nd reg 135bar . Other settings will vary slightly from gun to gun, climate to climate. Adjust gently until around 985 fps is achieved. You should also be looking at 75 shots per fill.

Hi , it calls a valve adjustment knob . You can adjust the length of travel when the hammer strikes the valve . This allows you to fine tune the efficiency of your impact .

Don’t get caught in the noise, buy what you will enjoy now and enjoy it. As far as teaching the boys not sure if the impact is the right choice. Too many bells and whistles. There are a lot of other cheaper products for that, unless of course daddy wants to play too lol. Cheers.
