Why I love the game of pool. Endless situations and challenges. The thing I'm learning since playing these last ten years is that there's usually a solution to a problem. Thanks. Gotta go practice these new solutions.

I'm so addicted to your videos, Bryan. I've been playing for almost a year now (October will be my year mark) and pool's become my favorite game of all time. It's so frustrating at first (and even as you continue learning, but in my limited experience it's really PEOPLE that make pool as frustrating as it can be, not the game itself), but also so unbelievably rewarding, and thankfully it's a game that pays off with time. When I'm 70 I'll still be able to play pool if I keep myself healthy, and that's a blessing. I went to play at a bar last night because I'm always trying to challenge myself, and on the way there I felt pretty good. But it wasn't long until my ego was checked and I found myself losing almost every game. But that's okay! I've learned that losing right now, even if it's all the time, is okay! I'm not good enough yet to be furious, even though I hate losing. But the reality is that I'm not good yet, and I won't be for years. All I can do is keep practicing and keep having fun by focusing on the things I can control and trying my best to improve the things I can't. Your videos helped my mindset so much, and I'm thankful for that. And by the way, I'm subscribed and have the bell notification clicked on. I'm lazy at liking every video I watch, but I'm gonna make a sincere effort to like every single one of your videos that comes up. You're awesome and thanks again for the content.

My Dad is 82 and plays 3 to 4 hrs at the pool hall daily! LOL! Yes, I plan to do the same. Can't do it with golf at 82, I don't think.

The rails are one of the most useful tools. Low English on a rail can increase the speed of the ball more than top, with less power ... "equal or opposite reaction ".. here we are talking opposite reaction.. the speed is increased. Most assume the opposite reaction. I look at the pool table like a pie chart.

I just started at APA in March of 2022 as a level 2. I was introduced to FBX just this month. (August) I'm 73 and learning more than I thought possible. I like your attitude and honesty about the game. My stroke SxxKs.

Good video, Brian. For your first multi-rail example, I understand the spin, but you didn't mention whether the cue ball needs to hit the ball or the rail first for the ball to move around the rails as you've shown. Not mentioned because it doesn't matter?
@FXBilliards Жыл бұрын
If the ball is on the rail, you’re going to shoot to hit the ball and the cushion at the same time but in reality you’re hitting millimeters in front of the object, Ball.

"Looking ahead" = Planning your run. What do I need to ... or how do I - "Get there" (with the cue ball) to each ball ??? The more ya do it, the more "automatic" the thought becomes. Practice, it pays off!!!! Be Safe
@RabahRayanNabilEl162 жыл бұрын
When I would face these situations and then either scratch because the table was too fast or I would choose a certain type of english because of a ball being in the way somebody always say "why didn't you do this instead" or you over thinking im like these fools don't know about the shots you talking about they will just make the ball and then go for a safe or kick at the ball but great video Brother when I get questioned on something I can show them this video

Bryan: we are going to cheat the pocket with top left and force follow. My diamond table with shimmed pockets: access denied!

Are u playing with 4” pockets?
@ninjabakerdaddy32202 жыл бұрын
@@FXBilliards yep, 4 inches. Not much room for error, but it can make playing on other tables a breeze....sometimes🤣

Great video bryan does this fall under intermediate level if im rated just under 400 am i considered a intermediate player inknow the difference between me and pro semi pro play and knowledge is i lack consistency im a higher level shooter in knowledge im a forever student of the game i have enough knowledge to coach low level and beginner llevel players at least on fundamentals i get close to running out almost every rack i always seem to lose position on last couple of balls or on last ball
@FXBilliards Жыл бұрын
This would definitely fall under intermediate player. And the gap between a 400 and a low level pro is likely about 6000 hours of practice- deliberate, practice - not play, but time at the table with the intent of improving.

Nice. Some of the shots are impossible on an English table
@lukeknizley1242 Жыл бұрын
Anybody else having a difficult time coming off three rails when the ball is on the second diamond from the corner? I’m able to make the shot and get position when it’s about one diamond away, but anything more than that I’m not getting that great of action on the cue ball.
@FXBilliards Жыл бұрын
There could be one of three problems. One if you don’t have a good follow through on your stroke, the ball won’t get around the table. Two make sure you’re putting running English on the shot or the ball won’t go around the table and three if the rails or not in good condition the ball will not get around the table.
