I do my riding/touring on the way there and on the way home and celebrate what the events have to offer while there. You touched on the biggest reason for me, "to avoid the different riding skill levels" especially the impaired riders. #6 Don't ride after dark during the Rally.

All good tips here is one from me if you are staying in Sturgis on the hottest days ride to deadwood ,hill city, keastone iron mountain Needles Highway the temperatures around 10 to 20° cooler in those areas and take 385 form deadwood to those areas

We’ve been booked in Blackhawk since august 2021 for the 2022 sturgis trip. There’s 5 of us riding from Michigan. It’s about 1,200 miles each way. This is my first time going, And I’m on a new to me bike this season also. I bought an 08 roadliner this winter just for the sturgis trip, coming off a Suzuki m95. Big difference. Happy riding

Hill City is a great suggestion. I went off season & stayed in Rockerville at the Rockerville Cabins. Great folks. No night riding for me either with crazy drivers & animals. So much roadkill! I went off season from Brooklyn to Yellowstone but that’s not what your video’s about. The weather was nuts; I got soaked to the bone from La Crosse, MN to pretty much Rockerville. And it was cold. I did it on an 09 FLHT how as it on the Low Rider S? Great videos!

Hey BK Low so I'm no longer working at Subway, Wednesdays was my last day PROMOTED TO CUSTOMER RIP Job at Subway 31.03.2021-05.05.2021 But I wasn't gotta stay there for long anyway,my main job is at the cinema,this was just till we could reopen again and now we gotta finally be reopening the cinema very soon now ! I went last year and rented a bike the last sat.did the Mt Rushmore, deadwood then went to main street ,my conclusion is like you say go before the rally because main St during Sturgis is like any other rally no big deal ,oh and no.1 BE SURE TO STOP AT STOP SIGNS

That’s painting the whole rally with a pretty broad brush. You can spend as little as you want, or as much. Totally up to you. Drinks and food on Main Street are stupid expensive so I don’t do that. Just a couple miles out of town at the Beaver Bar it’s $4 beers and $10 wings. Our campground is 400 acres, one mile from Main Street. Free live music till 11:00, then quiet time enforced until sunrise. Not crazy at all. Main Street is like 5% of what there is to do and see out there.
