FXR vs. Road Glide long distance. Which do you prefer?

Dude you've got to tune out the negative comments...I load up my '90 FXLR like a pack mule and tour all over the country...runs the highways 70-90 No problem...then when I get where I'm going it's a stripped down canyon carver...know your bike,know your abilities. Oh and,I'm 64...been doing this awhile. FXRS'ANDEVOS4EVER

Rode 10k miles x country on an 85 FXRS and loved the stock seat and it was hands down the best trip I have taken on a bike as well. Just had a windscreen and very similar bag set up as well.

You have the best of the best from Harley. One of my favorite of all Harleys was the 84 1/2 Evolution 5 speed wet clutch chain final FXRS very comfortable bike and I rode it to Sturgis from WA State at leat 5 times and it was great.

Brother don't worry about the negative comments that people makes, that's the problem when you make videos. If it is working for you then you are good to go, I like the setup on your FXR especially that bag for your back. Man how much I miss my street glide, you just keep doing you. And I'll be watching and keep them coming.

I just found a set of Thunderstars and pulled the trigger. What rotors are those? Do you have a part number? Your bike is a huge motivator for me. Wish I had the dough to just buy yours lol but I’m having fun putting mine together.

Bung King one piece 8” risers and Big Al’s High Bend Bars. Ends up right at 13”.

Which bike blocks the wind better cruising down the highway?

That’s a great question! They both do fantastic so it’s hard to say outright. I’d probably have to give the edge there to the road glide, but only by a hair. I prefer the wind blocking of both of these fixed fairings over a fork mounted batwing like on a street or Electra glide.

Stock bars. 21 Road Glide Limited. I rotated them up just a tad.
