The reason that Fox shows like The Cleveland Show, Futurama and King of the Hill are airing on other channels besides FXX is because since all these shows ended forever ago, Disney would rather split the cable rights with other channels rather than currently running shows like Family Guy and The Simpsons. Bob’s Burgers is an interesting example, where it is still running but channels like Adult Swim and TBS still have the cable rights to early seasons, and the rights won’t expire until 2023. Sidenote: SYFY was better with Futurama and the TZGZ Saturday night block.

There is a rumor that if American Dad doesn't get renewed and gets cancelled next year, FXX will get the rights to the show in 2025.

I don't know why but it feels like most tv shows are too busy trying to appeal to the demographic that only wants the iPad. Simpsons only proves my point... atleast the modern episodes do
