I’m 58 and I’m trying to get things arranged so I can hike the trail in 2022 . I have the same fears as super girl 😁 I’ve been following your journey, I can’t believe I didn’t see this one .

Fynleigh you are the same age as my grand daughter and I think its so amazing what you and your mom are doing together. Sometimes I hike with her on the Appalachain Trail and she loves to eat Sweedish Fish. The Beef Stroganoff is also my favorite meal so you have good taste in my book. I have no doubt that the 2 of you will make it to Kathadin. Maybe I'll run onto the 2 of you on the trail at some point and give you trail magic. Is there a gear list that you can show how the six pound pack weighs out? Does that include water? We have been upgrading gear to keep her pack lighter. My daughter and I are section hiking and in the winter her pack about 10 with water.
