These guys were accused of not being serious about it - people thought they were doing this as a joke. The fact is that they are just two nostalgic guys that love the 80's vibe; singing in their native language, a real backing band, Freddy Mercury microphone and even the lead singer's hair do inspired by Johnny Logan. Their goal is to get 12 points from Malta. Hope their dream will come true.

I'm the one who's constantly complaining that many countries never send song in their own languages or do it maybe once in a decade (including my country). It's just boring to hear so much English in this contest, when there's such a big potential in all these different and interesting languages. It's really time to get over this 2000's mindset that it's cool to sing only in English. Denmark is one of my favourites this year. I absolutely love the positive vibe of the song and I dare to say that at least half of the charm here is coming from the Danish language.

Absolute chaotic positivity and pure happiness, nostalgia, funky outfits, neon lights, "bad" dance moves, a charismatic singer, and the use of their native language, this is more than good, it's BRILLIANT. We all know that this isn't a song that could win Eurovision in 2021 (and sadly it's because of the juries and what kind of music fits their agenda), but it's a quintessentially European banger that doesn't comply to any pretentious "rules" of what constitutes a success-guaranteed song, you can't help but fall in love with it. And I would LOVE to see this qualifying and absolutely SLAYING with the televoting (akin to the Keiino incident in 2019). It's about time we bring the joyful, bizarre, extravagant, fabulous, funny, out-of-the-box, unique, and awesome Eurovision of the past back! Best of luck, boys! 🍀🤞🏻

Most probably Denmark will take points from its twin brother Norway only 🤡 not much more
@davidmb13163 жыл бұрын
@@Yektahirvatoglu I don't think so, but let's see. Btw Iceland has given Denmark points far more often than both Norway and Sweden. I think it's eight times 12 points in total plus many 10s and 8s too. So I would say that Iceland is our closest ally in this contest, not Norway (although we love them as well).
@Yektahirvatoglu3 жыл бұрын
@@davidmb1316 if we look at all times Denmark has received highest points from Norway. Second Sweden and third Iceland 😅
@davidmb13163 жыл бұрын
@@Yektahirvatoglu but Iceland first competed in 1986 whereas the other Nordic countries had their debut in 1957 (Denmark), 1958 (Sweden), 1960 (Norway) and (1961) Finland, so I don't think it's a fair comparison. If you look at the time since televoting was introduced, which was 1999 for Denmark, Iceland has given the most points. And far more relevant, they are in our semi. Sweden and Norway are in SF1, so they aren't allowed to vote for us anyway.

Some countries may have put a lot of effort into their song and staging but Denmark took it one step further by building an entire time machine, apparently, just to bring these guys through from 1987 to 2021.
