I feel like some of the reason for the uneven fight was that he was legitimately attacking her, and she didn't really want to hurt him. It's like going into a fight where one person is out to finish the other, and the other thinks it's just a fun fight. He is growing more powerful, but it really felt like she wasn't trying as hard as he was, either. The intent of each was different.

I think it could be that, but also the fact that he has the Shadowflame as well, which is probably augmenting his strength quite a bit.

They didn't show any purple flames anywhere to indicate he was using shadowflame magic. Being able to use shadowflame magic doesn't just make all of their magic stronger. It's just a fire/shadow mixed magic that corrupts because of the void. I think Vyranoth is written as the "nerfed" sibling intentionally because she'll eventually either flip sides or just be killed off for plot development.

this is a small thing i love but i really love that Fyrakk doesnt just like have a ball of fire floating above his hand whenever hes ready to fight, it's literally his entire palm turning into flames that bends with and around his fingers.

They missed the little growl Vyranoth does during that nod. I think that it shifts the vibe of the gesture just a touch. Less of a "I salute you mine Honorable Enemy." And more of a... "I didn't do that for You. Do not thank me." A quiet warning that they are not friends.

I had to rewatch the in-game cinematic multiple times to try and find what you are talking about. The only part that seems like a growl is @2:51 of the in-game cinematic, the eerie background reverbing picks up, no growl. And there isn't a nod from Vyranoth to Gerithus. She slightly retracts and furrows her brow. I think she's kinda taken back by his appreciation because she acted on impulse which ended up saving him. Just quickly think back to Alexstrasza talking to Vyranoth... "You have always fought for the good of dragon kind". And now in this cinematic one patch later she's stopping one of her brothers from torturing/murdering a dragon in front of her? I agree she doesn't see them as friends but may not be willing to go to the same extent to accomplish her fams goal.

I like Evitels idea of ‘fury of the incarnates’. Maybe Fyrak attacking the tree is his fury, but maybe his sister finds out she has been lied to and then she gets angry at her siblings (her fury) Maybe Vyranoth is the final boss, she decides she can’t trust anyone so tries to wipe everyone out (keep in mind the primalist tomrrow is all ice)

When Fyrak cratch the wall with his fingers i couldn't help to think about the '' 5 torches now darkened '' wisper from Il’gynoth. His fingers could be the 5 torches who is darkend by the shadowflame power. There must be a reason why they put this scene in the cinematic.

I really really hope that she doesn't "switch sides", because her current storyline is SO GOOD. I LOVE seeing different sides of the villains, and in many ways she has one of the sadder stories in WoW. As she said in a previous cinematic; vengeance is all that is left for her. What goes on is not something she's happy about, but she is aware and accepting of that. And her relationship to the other incarnates is so interesting. In this cinematic she didn't seem shocked, but more disgusted and maybe even hurt. Seeing her brother taking things too far must hurt, and she is strict with him. When she "attacks" him it's not to hurt him; it's to stop him, for everyone's sake. But if a sibling has some very serious issues you don't always/suddenly see them as an "enemy" that needs to be taken down. I really hope they don't go with that story, it's too cheap and honestly a bit disgusting. Also, she truly seems to believe in her cause. Like you don't expect everyone to leave a religion or abandon political views because there are extremists. My thoughts about these are more interesting than I'm able to express right now, which is annoying. But I really love the current story and desperately wish they let her stay this way.

I don't expect her to change her views on what the Titans did. I think she might see that her brothers are even more dangerous to her people, and that taking what's left of her followers and leaving is for the best. At which point, the others turn on her, Alexstrasza swoops in with us in tow to save the day, and Vyranoth decides to trust her old friend just one more time... The rest, as they say, is fanfic.

Whenever I’ve seen her she always seen like the cold logical one, she has every reason to mistrust the titans and her former dragonkin, but unlike fyrakk she’s focused on only taking down the titans while fyrakk is willing to do collateral if it means he gets his goals. @@warllockmasterasd9142 Neltharion isn't the only one that has succumbed to Shadowflame, Nefarion did as well and he wasn't being talked to by N'Zoth at least that we know of, but he was corrupted. But I think the idea is that Shadowflame is all corrupting, and that it can't truly be controlled.

She still has immense hatred towards the Titans for destroying her kin so she will NEVER join our side so long as we are on the side of the Titans. She will probably be a 3rd party trying to destroy Titans but doing it through attacking them instead of destroying all of dragonkind route which Fyrakk is probably going

Fyrakk has the vibe of an old-school Shakespearean villain in the way he behaves and moves. The way the VA sort of hangs on every word. I love it. And Vyranoth is the same with a sort of noble quality to her. A queen for sure :D

although it is unlikely, there is one more character(s) who could potentially show exceptional fury during the attack to this new world tree, Tyrande/Elune. This time there isn't an ardenweald-sized conundrum for Elune to have to contend with, and I don't think she is about to allow the night elves to sacrifice anything at this vulnerable time. It would be a surprise if Tyrande doesn't consider this a good use for the power that still courses through her (by her own admission) after ardenweald. I remember her saying she wasn't quite sure about how to use it to benefit the night elves but that she would be pondering that question when returning to Azeroth. She also has been literally just babysitting the tree from a vantage point, no way they just pretend she isn't there.

I have a feeling Fyrakk is essentially gonna take things into his own hands, whatever that might mean, and potentially make enemies out of Iridikron and Vyranoth. That, or by taking the initiative, he bungles up their plans and sets them back or leaves them open to attack. These villains become more and more interesting every patch and I cant wait to see what happens during 10.2.

This cinematic is foreshadowing the last boss fights of the 10.2 raid which will almost certainly be on the world tree. Fyrakk will clearly be crazy, Vyranoth will try to stop him, and he mortally wounds her. She will be the second to last boss where we try to heal her with help from Alexstrasza and green and red dragons but it's too much. Vyranoth dies in Alexstrasza's arms and we go on to stop Fyrakk, the final boss of the raid at the heart of Amirdrassil. We take care of him and the events trigger the birth of the world tree in Azeroth - gonna be awesome.

"Shadowflame gives the Void access to you" That right there could be exactly what happened to Deathwing. Could be why he abandoned Shadowflame, realizing the danger but not realizing it was already too late. "Not steal their children's future" to me this is talking about their intent to free the world from the Titans, but not wipe everyone out in the process. She wants to remove the Titan influence but not end all life. To her specifically, this is the goal, to free everyone with as minimal casualties as possible, whereas he just wants all to burn.

The only thing I think that's been missed is while Fyrakk is burning the green dragon, the spark of shadowflame comes back briefly. Aside from that tiny detail a brilliant analysis! Also, perhaps it's just me. But the remaining incarnates kinda remind me of the puss in boots last wish villains. You've got one that's evil for the lols, one that's a more sympathetic villain and one that's more quiet and focused on the end goal. Idk I just thought it was a funny little comparison

To me the "ours" sounded more like for himself & the voice in his head, like how Gollum refers to himself & the one ring's voice - cuz when he says it he isn't exactly looking in any direction, like I would imaging if he meant Iridikron he would likely look up, or if it was Virinoth he would turn his head backwards a little, his gaze isn't even directly to the cam instead it feels as if he is saying it to the voice in his head.

We've forgotten (me being guilty of it as well ever since watching this piece for the first time) that Primalist wanted to access the Emerald Dream in the very start of the expansion - BEFORE the world tree seed was even planted - and i think that's the important context here. Vyranoth keeps saying about the plan (that original plan) and Fyrakk being hungry for power is the one deviating form it as he only wants more power. It makes sense too since the void part of the shadowflame he absorbed has always been associated with hunger which has even bigger impact onhimnot that he has the home alone kid energy. Vyranoth's line of not wanting to steal the future from the titans' children echoes her conversation with Alextrasza, showing why she joined the fight against the titans (the experimentations on the eggs) while imo it's fair to say thet Fyrakk presumably always wanted power. I think that's the goal of this cinematic - to show where this characters stand now in the context of why they joined the primalists to therefore introduce us to them a bit more. After all, Blizz cinematics have been trying to lay foundations for characters motivations more than anything since BfA. While the OG plan is threatened by this schism, we still don't know what was it all about. If they want to rid the world of titan's stain mby they want to use The Dream as the 'blueprint of Azeroth' to somehow alter the existing world? I don't think they want to destroy it, it almost seems like Vyranoth doesn't even care about the tree. Might also hint at where her turning point happens - she sees Fyrakk trying to destory it as and act as abhorent as the titans warping the primal dragons' eggs - a crime against the innocence of life. The theme of life has also been big part of (obviously) the red dragon leveling queslines and we know Vyranoth was close with Alextrasza (+ the book coming out soon!).

Re: the whole landing a plane in an emergency thing. Yeah most people probably really could do it. Tom Scott made a video about it a while back, which is in a plane simulator tbf, but youre not alone when landing it. You WILL have communications open and most likely receive detailed instructions about what to do, while the autopilot still manages a large part of the trouble by itself. No guarantee for success of course, but the odds of making it are surprisingly good!

This cinematic puts heavy emphasis on eyes; we open with the green dragon's eyes and focus on the shadow flame in Fyrrak's. Vyranoth's eyes match tonally with the green dragon(they even line them up when Fryakk it's walking away). Also, Fryakk is totally Tim Curry coded and Vyranoth is Sylvannas coded. She has the same boots and is morally grey and everything :p

i think that Fyrakk was talking about him and Vyranoth (and probably Iridikron) when he said "ours", but I also think he could've been talking about the Void corruption or whatever he's experiencing - so he *was* talking about him and the other Incarnates, but what he also meant was those on the other side of the corruption; I think he meant both at the same time i agree that it's seeming he's caring less and less about Vyranoth, but I disagree with the takes that I've seen that it's already happened or that it's happening so soon I think he cares about Vyranoth and still expresses that, but by the time the World Tree stuff comes the shadowflame is just going to make one last shove for control and that's when things come to a boiling point and he loses his former self, and as a result doesn't care about Vyranoth anymore I like the idea that Vyranoth will join us eventually, but if they do I want there to be a lot of nuance and storytelling and a lot of things happening up to that point I'm very excited to see where things go though and I love this cinematic, and Dragonflight as a whole so far

See, for me, when Vyranoth froze Fyrakk's arm, when I saw the way he was looking at it and the way everything got deathly silent, what I was expecting was a sort of "Oh crap" moment. The "You don't know what you just did" moment. She lashed out at her own brother, and now he knows she's not on his side, and she can't take it back. I expected Fyrakk to say something like "You're going to regret that" as he walks away, or something. Also, at the end when the green dragon dude thanked her, she looked a bit surprised at first, like she forgot he was there. She wasn't doing it for him, she was doing it for herself.

is it conceivable that Vyranoth is being setup to *willingly* accept the titan gift in the future and become a dragon? Dragonflight has had a huge focus on passing-the-torch to a new generation of dragons especially in establishing 3 new aspects. I'm starting to wonder if this is setting up a storyline for Vyranoth to become a new dragon Aspect. Could this be the birth of a new flight of silver/white dragons born from the proto-dragons that are given a choice to become dragons? It could also tie nicely into the Tyr storyline with her becoming empowered by Aggramar via the reborn titan keeper. Might be huge copium, but it doesn't seem impossible.

I think this would be a wonderful storyline, but they need to write it correctly I think Tyr waking up will reveal a lot more about the dragons' past, and I think they might be setting Tyr up to turn away from titan corruption (like Odyn) and this eventually leads to Vyranoth being given a choice Her own choice, willingly, and I think with a new silver/white dragonflight theres a lot they could do with it I have so many theories and things Ive read that I cant piece together my whole theory, but I do hope that she turns to our side and does it willingly in a really long and beautiful overall storyline And it sets a new precedent for all of dragonkind going forward, no longer allowing as much Titan interference against their will

I don't think she'll ever accept anything gifted by the Titans, given how she talks about them in her cutscene with Alexstraza : "your masters" (said with a disdained tone), especially to create a new flight after... like her whole thing is free will, not imposing a certain magic or another on eggs or whelps. But that said, it would be nice to have her survive the expac and create her own faction. She's diferent from the other incarnates in the sense that all dragons life seems to matter to her on some level (she was a mother after all) Now we wait for some 10.2 news👀

I can see fyrrak overpowering his sister in flame, knocking her back to the ground, and her passed for a moment in shock. Then Fyrrak realizes this and goes full dragon to attack her, then alexstrasza swoops in and meets his attack to aid her.

I agree with the sentiment that Viranoth is the odd dragon out of the incarnates, but for a different reason than Tali: I don't thin Iridicron *has* a plan for them. I think he's abandoned them with a vague instruction to "Stir up trouble and keep the Aspects and their mortal pets busy", something Firaak is *happy to do* but Viranoth probably needed more convincing- plans laid that Iridikron never really cared for, but he needed to pretend Viranoth and Firaak were apart of a real plan, rather than being discarded as pawns. That's why Iridicron got Firaak Shadowflamed-up: he knew it would send Firaak spiraling into a chaotic, destructive monster, even more so than usual. That's all Iridikron needs from him- a raging fire that the player characters are scrambling wildly to combat and keep from spreading too far. Viranoth plans her moves more carefully, but she still serves the same role- a threat to keep us busy.

Both Fyrakk and Vyranoth are fun villains and I hope they get to stick around for a while yet, honestly, I'd like to see them outlast Iridikron and see how they handle things without that leader-like presence. Fyrakk would probably spiral and become more violent and cruel, and cause a greater rift between him and Vyranoth. It's a shame that Raszageth was killed off so soon because we never got to see her interactions with the other Incarnates, or even a cool humanoid form, I hope we see maybe some kind of flashbacks with her, probably from Vyranoth's perspective. I also hope Vyranoth doesn't "join" us. It goes against the ideals she holds, but I don't think it's impossible for her to not be an enemy at least. There's a good way for Vyranoth to still heavily disagree with the Aspects and resent them but not be actively seeking their demise. I think if any of the Incarnates should last into being a long-term character, it's Vyranoth. She can be a sort of... "frenemy" in a way. She still loves Azeroth and wants to protect it and her kind, but she can have hostile intent towards certain groups on it. (Including us lil non-dragons, pawns of the titans) She may not want to seek the death of the Aspects but she may still seek to disrupt any titan-inclined plans they may engineer.

The moment of confrontation where Vyranoth throws cold at her brother seems like *slap* "knock it off!" to bring him back to his senses. Obviously, Fyrakk is high on power (and void power at that) and doesn't want to slow down. Actually, now I think about it power as a literal mind altering drug for that guy seems too close to the bone to be accidental. Vyranoth seems to have been relegated by Iridikron to keeping Fyrakk from breaking from the plan and at this point I think she's realising he's running coming really close to spinning out of control. Worse for her, she seems to have realised that he could legitimately kill her if he really wanted to - and so has he.

I could totally seeing her turning on Fyrakk when he inevitably tries to shadlowflame the tree BUT still being fully on Iridikron's side re: fuck the titans. It'd add a nice wrinkle and feel most in line with her motivations. Like, it wouldn't even have to break up the squad, she could probably sell it as him being a dumbshit and going against their plan

You know, on the note of "the tree is representative of the Green Dragonflight," I think point you made actually is a misinterpretation. While the flight does have influence and relation the tree, it sounded moreso like Fyrrak was saying "don't let dragons die over this; the tree is for the elves, not your kind, don't die on this hill." Fyrrak wants the Anima from the tree. It has almost nothing to do with the Greens, apart from the relationship the Greens have with elves, Titans, and the Dream itself. And once Fyrrak starts talking genocide, that's when Vyranoth turns on him. I love how different each of the Incarnates are, personality wise. Their dynamic is so chaotic. Raszageth was just pure erratic disdain for thr Titans, Iridikron is Void corruption, Fyrrak is naturally insane, made more insane by Shadowflame, and Vyranoth is (ironically) the least cold of all of them. Few see the poetic irony here. Shes absoutely joining us, and going to realize she was on the wrong side. The overall story of this expac hasnt been the greatest, but the characterization within the Incarnates and their dynamic with the Apsects has been phenomenal. We should've (and still technically could I guess) have gott len a resurrexted Galakrond, and hopefully we see Chromatus at some point, as well as a ressurected Deathwing, fully Void corrupted, but in Visage form, as we know he and Synestra wouldve returned to the Void realms upon death, and Synestra is said to be ressurected already. But im still lovinf DF as a whole. Cant wait to see wtf happens in 10.2 and the likely 10.3, seeing as how we get latches every 2 months, on the dot like in Legion. We absolutely need to see Nozdormu fully become Murozond though. We got such a massive rug pull tease in 10.1.5, when we KNOW for a fact there's no stopping the transformationin the end, merely delaying it, but i presume theyre saving that for a Void expansion.

What if the Ermerald dream is the actual shield that doesnt let us see the future exp side of azeroth and with destroying it we finaly get aware of it and thus opens the new exp?

Speculation here. The incarnates are based on the elements Fire, Ice/Water Earth and Wind/Air. Could this world tree power and the emerald dream that the incarnates (mostly Fyrakk) wants so dearly, indicate that they somehow are looking to release/create a new incarnate of Life/Nature? Consider all the talk of 5 pillars and all that. I do know that the Void is the main talking point at this stage in the expac but before we go full-on void could it maybe be a twist that before the Void is released upon us there will be a 5th Incarnate to disrupt the aspects and the titans before releasing the full force of the Void? Iridikron calls the void and in turn the void could release the elemental lords from imprisonment in the elemental plane (weren't they imprisoned as a result of the titans defeating the old gods?) together with the void they would both try undo the order of the titans. Also with Thrall seamingly being of importance in the next expac it could indicate that elements are going to be a thing? Far fetched much? ;)

Dragon vs Proto-Dragon. To me the use of Proto-Dragon is used as a way to denote a version that was before the current, and almost used to mean an inferior version. Proto-Dragons are the ancestors before the "real" dragons appeared. So Fyrakk calling himself a Dragon just means he is not really willing to give the non-Proto-Dragons the higher statues of being the "real" dragons. He is a Dragon, the creatures reformed by the Titans are just abominations.

Interestingly, Vyranoth is the only one of the three that's not void aligned in some manner. Iridikron has made a deal, and Fyrrak is corrupted by shadowflame.

I think Vyranoth is going to align with the Aspects outright by the end, but it will be a case of them meeting her halfway. As in the Aspects are going to forge their own destiny rather than strictly adhere to the vision of the Titans. Something people haven't paid enough attention to imo is the questline where we see Tyr's final moments, Zakazj shows Tyr visions of all 5 of the original aspects betraying the Tyr's vision, including Alexstraza. These visions are too precise to be lucky guesses, even if they omit anything that would undercut Zakazj's attempt to screw with Tyr. Which means it's not unreasonable to believe that Alexstraza will have a serious if not violent confrontation with Tyr before all is said and done, which could be at Vyranoth's urging.
