You can find these future classics for around 6k. Kind of glad that they are underated, and you can find a deal.

CB1100 feels much stronger than 89hp. I’ll take it over FZ-09 as my bike every single time

Had mine on a dyno, stock except for a Yoshi 1 piece full system. 91bhp and 67tq. The printout shows 130hp potential. I assume all of the electronic limiters are the cause. She's got more in her, but Honda is known to build a 200hp motor and only give it 100hp to get their legendary reliability.

Holy shi* that cb1100!! 180+ km/h in 3rd gear! Is it stock? 5 or 6 gear model? How did you removed the top speed limiter?? Thanks for the video!
@kdiqq919 жыл бұрын
T0n189 I'm the owner/rider of the CB in this video. It's a 2014 (6 speed) model. No gearing or tire changes. It's pretty much exactly as you'd buy one from a dealer. I removed the catalyst and added an Arrow slip-on. Don Guhl of Guhl Motorsports did the tuning and removed the speed limiter. Coming in to 5th and 6th it slows down big time. With enough road, you'd hit 140+mph. But top speed isn't this bikes forte and without a windshield, I wouldn't make a habit of trying.
@T0n1899 жыл бұрын
Are 5th and 6th too long maybe? do you think with a smaller pinion could be better? I mean is it useful in a bike like this an 50+mph 1st gear, 70+ 2nd, and so on? Honestly I'm interested to buy a bike like yours, the 5 gear model is at very good prices in Italy (where I live), but before your video I was very doubtful about the engine of this bike, because I cannot find anywhere someone who push the engine up to the redline :D
@kdiqq919 жыл бұрын
T0n189 I don't think so. 5th gear is super fuel efficient when cruising at slower speeds, 6th is great on the highway. On long American highways, the gearing of 6th (or 5th on the 5spd models) is quite nice. I also really enjoy winding out 1st gear and 2nd gear, but I know several people have changed gearing with great results. You could pick up a hefty amount of torque by going down a tooth or two on the front sprocket without much ill effect on top speed. This isn't a race bike, at all. It's very smooth, comfortable, reliable, and simple. Plus, it's also decently quick. So it all depends on what your goals are. I love my CB, probably won't ever get rid of it, but I knew what I was getting in to before I got it. If you're looking for a true liter bike, with liter bike power, go elsewhere. Like I said though, if you're looking a somewhat quick get-around a CB1100 is an awesome bike and you'll love it.

I think you just confirmed the CB1100 it's the bike also for me man! I just want a simple and good looking bike, easy to ride, which I can enjoy with my girlfriend, and also have pleasure on the twisties. Ido not much highway, max 50 miles in a month. A true liter bike is just too much for public roads in my opinion, too much grunt and power on high rpms. Thanks for your answers and your time!

T0n189 Not a problem! The suspension is very lacking, but can be greatly improved for not a lot of money! Me and my wife have done hundreds of miles together on it and she loves it. It's very smooth going and has LOADS of stopping power if ever needed. Dual 4 piston brakes up front with big rotors and a decent single piston on the rear. You won't be disappointed!

That was not the correct speed... If you look at his speedometer before he crossed the line, he's already at what looks to be almost 115mph..

I remember the original CB1100F. I bought a '82 Honda CB900F new & the 1100 came out the next year. I test drove one & I could really feel the difference between 89 hp & 108 hp. One never sees the original 1100F's anymore. Of course, the new 1100F's are different animals compared to the old.

I just bought my CB 1100 last Friday. Can't wait to pick it up. I know it's not as fast as my other bike, 1990 CB1000 but it will make a nice all purpose scoot.

The CB1100 has a governor set for 110 mph. Not really a fair race.

If I have my facts straight, the 1969 CB750 ran mid 12's not a whole lot slower than the 1100. 69 CB was actually 736cc.

even if than weme,ber its 260 kg bike with 90 hp or so vs fz09 is 200 kg bike with 115 hp so governor or not fz09 will smoked cb 1100 at 1/4 mille cos have way superior power to weight ratio ☝🏻 fz09 need 3,5-3,7 sec from 100to 160 km/h where cb 1100 need like 6 sec maybe sloghtly less … beside dude pn fz09 have bad start thats why achieve 11,8-11,9 sec et fz09 is able achieve 11,0 sec et vs dude pn cb despote write he is not superdriver etc he actually in this run drive perfect not only have very good start but also he shift on good rpm 👌🏻 so treu diffrenc between thsoe bike on 1/4 mille is actually biger than what show this video in regard to et time and when fz09 start to walk away =in this video way to leat vs with perfect start etc it woul walk away way sooner ☝🏻hers egzample best run fz09 11,14 sec so 0,75 sec better than on this vid m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqDaoWCsbK6oiaM beside even if this cb 1100 would have speed governon which it didnt have cos owner write this here than it would kock in right at the end of the 1/4 mille run where somewhere in midlle so waay before speed governor kick in fz09 accelerate way better and we can seen how it overtakieng cb 1100 😉☝🏻

Felisa Moore Probably because 99% of potential buyers and owners of that type of bike don't care.
@rrazote22799 жыл бұрын
Felisa Moore Top speed is limited in the US to 112MPH. In Europe and Asia it's said to go to 132 (2013 - 5sp) to 138 (2014 - 6sp).
@randybehrmann54549 жыл бұрын
R Razote There was an individual in Germany that had one and it topped out at 112 MPH. It's a world wide thing and the Japanese didn't feel the need to change that for this bike and 180 KPH (112 MPH) is the mandated limit for the JDM market.
@rrazote22799 жыл бұрын
Randy Behrmann It's a shame since it's a really nice bike. Wonder if getting something like a Power Commander could raise or eliminate the limiter? Then again, unless there was a fairing on the bike, that may not be very comfortable
