Ive been very impressed with them. Ive barely had a chance to ride with the new exhaust and reflash but the bike seemed much better. They actually flashed it for the wrong exhaust and I called Nels because the bike had lost power. They took care of the shipping and its a beast now! We all make mistakes :) and the fact that you can send it back for free if you change something is awesome!

Sorry about the camera shake I had a malfunction. Also I failed to mention the Tech Spec tank pads , expensive but very good quality and worth the money . Thanks for watching and God bless

Great and informative vid! Which type of Tech Spec tank pads do you have? Is it the XLine, Snake Skin or C3? I'm leaning toward the XLine since it's the newer technology.

The guys at Wheelers are awesome! very busy tho . We go every year its awesome there How do you like Iron Horse? We stay at Simple Life Its clean and very reasonable but thinking of trying something different next year.
@vstromrider37367 жыл бұрын
FZ RYDERS the Iron Horse is awesome it's a bunch of cabins campgrounds shareable cabins just depending on what you want to stay in we usually get one that holds about 15 people the people are nice there and you can order breakfast and dinner on location the only negative that I can see is that you can't have your own campfire they just have one that's communal near the dining hall

Hey loved the video! I believe 2wdw uses flash tune ecu.... if you aren’t experiencing any more back fires they probably disabled AIS which closes the egr valves thus making it so you don’t need them! Would save time and a few $$! I’d give them a call and ask!

Recn12 That's the same ones I ordered Part of the R in racing at the bottom is a little long and folds under but no big deal the fit is almost perfect. My son put the same ones on his fz09 with no issues.

Out of curiosity, what did the reflash do to your mpg? These bikes get horrendous mpg. My 1301cc super Duke with 22 hp more and 18 ft lbs more torque, I could average 48 mpg on. The best I can get on my "empty 10" is 38 mpg. I've been considering having the decel shutoff turned off, and the restrictions removed and lowering the radiator temperature fan cut on, but without altering the fueling from factory settings. Only because the mpg is so stupidly horrible on this bike, that losing .1mpg(yes point one) would be completely unacceptable to me. I know everyone wants ever ounce of power and most don't care about what it does to the mpg and say things like, " you don't buy one of these bikes for the gas mileage" bs. But I think the bike makes great power but with horrible MPG. With as bad of mpg as it gets, it should blow away every motorcycle ever made, but my super Duke would easily walk away from or ride right with the fz without even working hard while getting much better mpg! So, what happened to your mpg? If it actually got better, I'm all for it. But if it got even slightly worse, I think I'm just going to route I mentioned without changing the fueling.
@fzryders23886 жыл бұрын
jonnyrot10 ive actually seen 41,42 since the reflash so it helped a little I can tell you getting rid of the fuel cut off and the restrictions made it a totally different bike. It doesn't just die on top now and just much smoother. And more power all the way thru. I could tell the difference as soon as I got on it.
@fzryders23886 жыл бұрын
jonnyrot10 I'm 225 lbs and I can power wheelie in 3rd now and when I quick shift to 3rd running hard the front wheel comes up. Didn't do that before
@jonnyrot106 жыл бұрын
Hmm, seeing you got 41,42 mpg has me thinking about possibly doing the remap as well. However running cooler says it was richened up a bit which usually drops the mpg a little. What was the best mpg you saw before the reflash? I got 41 mpg once and only once and that was with 99.99% highway riding.
@fzryders23886 жыл бұрын
jonnyrot10 I don't think I ever seen anything in the 40s before the remap but I was curious to see how the remap affected it so I did check it a few times after. Just wanted to make sure it hadn't dropped to 30mpg lol. Your experience may be different but it definitely gave me a couple more mpg. In my opinion if it would have cost me a few mpg it would still be worth it to me because the bike is just so much better. But I agree with you looks like Yamaha could have squeezed a few more miles out of a tank full Crazy fun bike tho!
@jonnyrot106 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the information on the ecu flash. After hearing it actually increased your mpg while increasing the performance, I put an order in for the mail in flash. Good timing too, they have a Christmas special until the 31rst of this year. Thanks man.

FZ RYDERS Thank you. Also, I was just reading the forums and some guys were complaining of engine ticking. Have you noticed that and what do you know about it?
@fzryders23886 жыл бұрын
Dont let that bother you that tick has been in that motor design for years. You just cant hear it on the R1s because of the fairings but its there. Mine is hardly noticeable now that the engine is broke in 4500 miles and a loud exhaust helps lol. The R1 motor has been bullet proof tho, they go forever.
@dry5096 жыл бұрын
FZ RYDERS Thanks for clarifying. Very helpful. Appreciate it. I was concerned after reading the forums. Looks like you have nice places to ride by the way. I am in Houston. Have to travel quite a ways to find any nice roads. So the FZ1, this bikes predecessor, did not have the cross plane engine, correct, and the electronics? Is riding the fz-10 a whole lot different than the FZ1? So far, I have had a demo ride on an bmw S1000r, and a Honda CB1000r, and a 2016 Triumph Speed Triple, and a 2012 Ninja 1000, and a 2015 fZ-09, so have had short rides on a few naked (Standards). Trying to figure out which way to go.
@fzryders23886 жыл бұрын
Were at the beach actually but the mountains are only a few hrs away. Yes the 10 took the place of the Fz1 The Fz10 is actually even more comfortable than the 1. Better electronics, suspension just a much nicer bike and its a Beast! Wheelies 1st 2nd and 3rd without the clutch and handles fantastic! In my opinion much more comfortable than the BMW and just feels easier to ride. Feels like a massive dirt bike on steroids lol. its got its limitations on a track but thats not why you buy this bike. Never been on one that makes me smile the way this one does. I have no regrets and to me this bike is as close to perfect as Ive ever rode. Anyway hope this helps and let me know what you get! I dont know what your level of experience is but the 2017 Fz09 is an awesome bike too. my son has one and is much improved from previous yrs, cheaper too.
