Had my 2011 fz800s half faired for about 18 month's now. She's only just reached14000 , I was as lucky really as the first owner spent over £600 on a upgraded remote rear shock and over £400 having the front forks beefed up. So being the second owner , I got my moneys worth. Coming from V twins and V4s , I really found it a bit daunting at first being an in line four but you get used to it. Just got this habit of going for another gear when already in 6th. I've noticed the big difference in fuel usage between the different engine set up though. The only thing I do miss is the the engine breaking. Apart from that she super fine for my needs at the grand young age of 60 . 🇬🇧

Just got a 2011. First naked bike coming from super sport and Its a lot more comfortable with good power. It came with that same danmoto exhaust you have but it’s too loud so im going to try to get the two brothers for it. Ride safe bro.

How’s it compare to the mt07/09 and the Fz6 ? It’s a shrunken r1 motor but is it the cross plane motor or no?

Not a cross plane but has good power on the top end. Not much of a low grunt.

@@dannggokies9129 darn. I am pretty sure it doesn’t work like this but Is it possible to just swap the crankshaft from a CP4 to the older r1 motors or no? I get you may need to adjust ECU etc. but Is it even physically possible ? Kind of a shame since they made these until what 2015? Would have been awesome if the r1 v2 motor made its mark on the fz8. This makes me wonder if the FZ6 used a cross plane r6 derivative or not. The rabbit hole keeps going 😂

@@dannggokies9129 I also wonder how it compares to say a GSX-S 750 for example which is a very similar bike and engine philosophy and design…I guess the CBR650R too but that’s significantly smaller and has high power but low torque. I need to find a good resource for easily comparing power/torque and dunk figures

Mine pops a LOT on decel. I love it, just a slip on, but doubt it was tuned. You shouldn’t need a tune for just slip on mods, but curious if anyone else noticed their stock tune or stock muffler pop a lot on decel. I get a few good ones where it sounds like it is flame producing, even with a cat.

@@liviu9181 Yea it's just the air going back into the muffler and mixing. It is a stroked down older R1 engine, they're pretty stout.
