Their work is so incredible!!! I'm both inspired and depressed. I just did my prelim print portfolio review yesterday. One more quarter and I graduate...my work/skill is many parsecs from approaching the galaxy of Feng Zhu Design School. Congrats to all the grads.

I remember watching this back during when I was still attending digital art school back in 2012, seeing their works inspired me to finish my degree. We did have a gallery showcasing our work but it wasn't as grand as this. There was a 2010 version of this graduation show if I remember correctly but unfortunately got taken down by FZD either due to being outdated or some other reasons we will never know. There was even a short 2010 video showcasing the early works of the FZD students but got taken down as well. So glad this still exists, mad respect to the artists who graduated. I wonder where they are now, time sure flies by quickly it's already 2024 as of writing this comment.

god this is all so good. my senior show was such an embarrassment, half the students barely had any drawing ability at all because there wasn't any real teaching! no one ever even mentioned perspective or anatomy let alone ways to paint and draw. i wish i had gone to this school but i've learned a lot from these great videos!!! !

I wish I went to this kind of school.. I went to a school that did not teach me anything new.. that eventually led me in on a different path, which was a mistake, because i love drawing and creating, and since I am anonymous on KZbin I can admit that I am freaking talented. Now 8 years later I finally got the flame back, and this time I wont let it be put out by others. Inspiring videos! Thanks!

Some of them are high school graduates, university or college fresh graduates, and even working professionals who have had many years of experience. Hi I'm 18 yrs old too, from Canada. I second every thing that has been said here. It's been a year now that I'm practicing and working hard to build basic skills to make it to that school. I'm planing on learnig industrial design at university and then get into entertainment desing. Thing is it's so damn expensive! I'll have to search for money somewhere I guess, but that won't stop me. See you in 5-6 years with a kick ass portfolio!

Well one of the requirements is a visual art portfolio so I'd guess that you'd already have to know the basics and whatnot to qualify for the course.

This is an interesting look into the grad work. I just hope it doesn't count as a design cinema upload, and then we have to wait one more month. Also, if EVER I was going to have a chance to afford to study at FZD, it was to one of their certificate courses. Now that those have been canceled, watching this is just kind of depressing :(

Could you possibly post a video presenting a before/after of the students' work? I've been trying to improve my skill as long as I can remember, and I'm good with drawing but not so much with painting/photoshop. I'm just not sure exactly what it takes to get into that school, possibly with a scholarship. Great vid btw, thanks for the upload :)

All of those look absolutely fantastic. My question would be, did those graduates come into the school with pre-existing very strong skills? Or do some come in knowing just a small amount? Obviously there will be a variety, but what level are students generally at right at the beginning, before any classes?
