Going back through some of the videos, just to listen something informative while designing. "Woa moment" at 5:41, you are describing the documentary that also inspired The Last Of Us inception... it's incredible to see how hugely different design/ideas came out from the same material :)

I remember the parasite. The little parasite gets into a snail, it makes it climb up onto a high leaf, it crawls into the eyestalk of the snail and pulsates to attract birds. The bird comes down eats the eyestalk of the snail, the parasite goes through the intestines of the bird, and replicates. nature is disturbing

There is a fungi which does something similar to ants,An unlucky ant inhales a spore, the fungus begins to eat the ant from inside, and, in a particularly sinister twist, Ophiocordyceps hijacks the ant’s brain. The “zombie” ant is forced to leave its nest to climb up onto a tree, clamping its jaws into a leaf vein with abnormal force. A stalk sprouts from the now dead ant’s head. This stalk is fruiting body of the fungus, which will produce new spores that rain down onto the unlucky ants below.

Youre idea of the parasite is the same one used for the last of us

In The Last Of Us it was not a parasite, it was a real life fungus called cordyceps that infects and kills entire ant colonies. The premise of the game was what if that jumped over to humans.

how can such a monster mindcontroll those humanoids, In one of your other tutorials you said, ask yourself how does this creature built a spaceship:) i would turn it around the humanoids mindcontrol the creature using it's claws or whatever as some sort of weapon!
