@@dr_goat678 I've never minded guys like Bohica and Magz, they make entertaining content. But they have never tried to sell themselves as good players or authorities either. There are some (one fairly popular one right now with over 20k subs) that are total garbage players. But they make vids teaching people how to play and explaining strengths and weaknesses on planes they can't even play themselves. KZbin, Reddit, the forums or whatever if you cant play it you shouldn't be telling other people how to. I just watched part of one today on this guy butchering a cobra and then you scroll through his comments and see all these people making statements like "how do you fly so flawlessly" and things like that. Its disheartening to see. These are the creators people are learning to play from, is it any wonder why the community is so garbage these days?

Out of all the planes he could have called bad, he called the 109 G2 XD, its one of the most solid planes between 4.3 to 4.7, with the G55S, A6M5Ko. Napalm if you read this, you can call the next planes bad: P51D30 (because you need an energy advantage always on your enemy and if you have that, you can get a kill on EVERY PLANE, no acceleration, shit rudder, compresses like crap), F8F1B (shit rudder, very bad performance at altitude, doesnt turn, overheats like shit and that doesnt let you get to your max speed so you get shit on), P38J and L (having 2 huge engines it should climb better than 109s or get a bomber airspawn because there is nothing you can do if an enemy is above you), Hispanos MK2, ShVAKs, 23mm (it should be even more lethal than the Sabre F2 but it doesnt, even better than Minengeshoss but it doesnt).

G2 used to be my fave 109. Recently tho it got a nerf and is overheat fast and cooling very slow for a 109. And 109 really depend on being able to wep a lot. It only advantage over most planes is climb rate and energy retention, and that gets nullified by planes that do it better like the p38(doesn't climb faster but gets air spawn). G6 is my new fave since it can mount 30mm for fun sometimes.

Only thing bad about the Italian/Hungarian G-2 is that it costs pretty much $25 alone whereas I bought the same plane for Germany in a pack with the Romanian Duck and the Romanian He-112 for $22.

Dude i'm standing with you on this! I love the G-2 and the G-2 trop, i'm no wereaboo, in fact i love Brits, but this is my plane i go to if i want to have FUN! It is just like nothing i else on in the tree with regards of how it performs, Engine Is just awesome. Oh it overheats on WEP, NO SHIT SHERLOCK! Its wep, should be flying this plane at 100% to climb, it's emergency power. all in all LOVE IT and a great showcase of how to fly it!

I don’t use the prop pitch air brake because I don’t play that much and I still need to work out proper key bindings on my keyboard, but that doesn’t change the fact that I love the g-2, I tried playing it like most 109s and then I found out how well it outperforms other aircraft and it quickly became my favorite 109 ever

G-2 is a great plane but I think I can see where Napalm is coming from. Compared to the E models, F and G like to nose down more aggressively at low speeds. The flight model on the E-4/E-7 is ridiculous though, it reliably outmaneuvers all Merlin spits.

Honestly the one i find the crazyest is the f1 for some reason it just doesnt seem to loose controls ever like its not compressing if you didnt dive straight down from heaven and it doesn't stall eiter its really lovely to fly for noobs like me

At 6:22 how do you go from auto engine control to instantly being at 100% prop pitch. I used to try this, but found that it was difficult to do this fast enough during a dogfight, and that I didnt have enough hands to manage engine controls while dogfighting at the same time. Any advice on how to set that up?

The best statistical aircraft I have is the Bf 109 G-2/Trop. I'm a pretty average pilot, so having 98 deaths and 211 kills is great for me. It's a monster of a aircraft at it's BR.

I just finished modules on the G2 trop as an inexperienced pilot, from my perspective: not bad. I mean it's true that you can't turn with spits from my experience. My killcam usually reads Spitfire Mk IX but I'm not very good in defensive flying. I can usually keep their guns off for 30 seconds max and will die without an ally assisting after that. I unfortunately don't have a very good keyboard and I get 2 keys in the WASD region until my keyboard ghosts so I'm limited to 'tapping'. But yeah learned/bound MEC to climb without overheating on WEP, and once I got the modules it is a decent fighter.

The G-2 is the first 109 thats a strict energy fighter. You're mostly above people and youre the king at altitude. Find good engagements and dont get too many people on your ass. 109s are easy once you get the hang of them, but they arent for everyone

I pretty much just started war thunder got to the 163 so far and i have t say at first i didnt like any of the bf109s but that was because i didnt understand what to do while the 190 where just up my alley but once i got to the g2 trop and had some mods on it and started to actually fight people instead of doing what i was doing in the 190s (basically running until im above and then just drop on people try and hit them with cannons) it became a lot of fun to fly

Kill 2 was situational/ afk enemy, Nr. 4 was another 109, Nr. 7 (not counting the crash) was pure luck that you suvived the spits blasts because they where very close and you didnt intentionally turned your airplane in a 90° agle to his wing to slip through, Nr. 8 was a team effort against one enemy. Nr. 6 was a real Kill and the rest was BnZ I could have done in a heavy fighter.

By the way, in demonstrating how you believe this plane is good, I’ve learned a heap of stuff I didn’t know. E.g.-German airbrakes, fight in the vertical, anticipate the flaps because they are slow. Etc. Excellent stuff.

I would take exception to your tone. One thing that makes me really weary is people who, during a game, call other people idiots . Yes it's true that some of us have just been learning how to play and some of us are not as skilled as others. But to call somebody stupid because they're ignorant is very bad form. This is supposed to be a game. A certain amount of gentlemanly consideration of others is always the best form. Lol Best plane for BR Germany isn’t the G2/G2-trop It’s the K-4. It’s not even close of a contest. It’s the K4 period.

@@andym.s.5231 The K-4 suffers from some disadvantages the G2 doesnt. The enemy has equally good or really competitive aircraft at 5.3-5.7. You also cant sealclub because allies (although still kind of incompetent) are more experienced and know how to deal with 109s. You also get the 30mm stock which isnt my cup of tea, Ive always prefered the 151 but thats just me. You dont have to pay 17k for repairs in the G2, which is a bit more comforting.
