first of all i am Thanking u for ur very nice explanatory video. i am basically a mechanical engineer, working at indira gandhi centre for atomic research (IGCAR) kalpakkam in area of large test rig design reactor component testing, requesting u, please make such kind of video for time history analysis/response spectrum analysis of steel structure.

Mam kindly upload seismic analysis on response spectrum method ,. Only for zone 2 with regular building of height less than 15m only this static method is applicable. For all other than this, response spectrum method is applicable.

What is 1.37 in Cantilever slab load calculation?
@CivilEngineeringMastery2 жыл бұрын
Cantilever slab load on beam
@sohamekumarbishnu54712 жыл бұрын
@@CivilEngineeringMastery The slab load computed is 7.125 KN/m2 and multiplied with 1.37. From where we get the value 1.37? I am not getting the calculation. Can you please explain?
@CivilEngineeringMastery2 жыл бұрын
1.37m is the length of the cantilever slab. 7.125kN/m2 is the load "w" , so load multiplied by the distance ie w x l = 7.125 x 1.37 = 9.76kN/m. Hope this helps.

but mam i think in dead load portion selfweight of structure is not taken into account .is it okk?
@CivilEngineeringMastery2 жыл бұрын
Self weight of slab, floor finish was added as a floor load which is 5.125 kN/m2. Self weight other structural members were assigned as a self weight, please refer at 21:28.
@jayaprakashjena75902 жыл бұрын
@@CivilEngineeringMastery I mean when you are assigning section properties to beam, column size. These beam column itself has selfweight. That command is missing. Selfweight y -1 command which I feel.
@CivilEngineeringMastery2 жыл бұрын
Pls check at 21:28. Self weight y-1 is added.
