Sir, aapne is analysis me slab thikness 150mm assume kiya h, but kahi apply nhi kiya so please help me for applying slab properties and steel properties if we take steel section as beams for multi story building....

Navneet bro, slab thickness has assigned under section property tab. General-- Property-- Thickness--define thickness, select the plate thickness, then under select tab, Select--Plates parallel to XZ---Assign to selected plates. If you want to take steel sections then you have to select from the section database tab your desired steel section.

Try modelling the structure. Like secondary beams, curved beams. I think analysis is the same.

Yes this video on Multistorey Building analysis and design is very good. The foundation design in this video is for isolated footings and in this video you mention that you will make a video for raft and mat foundations too. I really hope you can do that sometime because your tutorials are very detailed and well explained. I don't think there are good videos on designing raft and mat foundations here on youtube, so if you can do that or provide some guidelines for designing raft and mat foundations then it would be very helpful for us students :) Thanks again for your time and take care.

Load cases and No. created are: 1 EQX; 2.EQZ; 3. DL; 4.LL; so for load combination e.g. 1.2(DL+LL-EQX), minus ( -1.2) should be assigned to load no 1. EQX but you are assigning minus sign (-1.2) to load No.4 why? I am confused.

Sir in load combination, when - EQX has been defined, - sign is put in front of other load cases , for eg:if EQX is load case 2, you have put -sign in front of load case 4.

You have considered Eqvt Static Mtd for siesmic analysis, for G+7 structure, whereas the same is applicable for buildings lower than 15m in Zone II as per Cl 7.6 IS 1893(I) 2016. Please clarify.

You know that almost afghan and indian climates are same to each other this is why we are using and i know 100% all the indian code which are related directly to the RCC design.

Beam dimensions have been introduced to the staad pro, the software itself counting during the analysis. When you are giving and introducing the size of members such as columns, beams, and so on, the software itself estimating their respective dead load. The user has to calculate only live load and so on.

instead of reinstalling , you can do the following procedure : 1. Go to the directory where your STAAD Pro is installed. 2. Open the folder STAAD and search for DLL1893.dll 3. Copy the file location of DLL1893.dll . It will look similiar to this : ( C:\SProV8i SS6\STAAD\Dll1893.dll ) 4. Run CMD as admin 5. Paste the following command : regsvr32 “C:\SProV8i SS6\STAAD\Dll1893.dll” 6. Reopen STAAD , You are done Best Regd.

If the building is of irregular shape then how can we calculate Time period in X and Z direction ? For example take a building in S shape then 🤔

Thanks for watching my video. for the irregular shape of any type of structures you can take the max length for building which Indian standard abbreviated with D under square root. please refer to IS 1893 you can easily find the period in X and Z direction. if you want to know more about it then let me know to provide a video with manual calculation.
