Hmm I will share one incident..before few months I stopped at Highway for teabrake n suddenly 1 beautiful white G Wagon came n parked..that time people pointed to Gwagon" dekho dekho Bolero kitna achha modified Kiya hai." I’m probably biased towards the Jeep but the fact is it offers some top notch off-road hardware for the price, and straight from the factory. It’s definitely compromised in many ways, but entirely liveable for daily use. My own Wrangler has been as reliable as a Toyota, to my surprise frankly. The Defender is a highly polished product, but its refinement is also probably its downfall. It’s a very sophisticated vehicle with many things that can go wrong in harsh conditions. Excellent choice for a “city 4x4”. But ultimately the G Wagon is the king of off road vehicles. On the right tyres it’s every bit as capable as a Jeep, while being far better built and much more robust. If I could afford one, the Mercedes would be the one I would have.

13:12 don't forget it has a waterproof interior I would get a Wrangler Unlimited instead of Rubicon. It'll do well offroad and onroad, and the roof is removable as well And I still consider the G Wagon to be overrated. The Wrangler looks the best out of the 3

@ajayjoseph9901 .. Dude I used to have a Super safari 4800 VTC...it's a better Road car and Dune car.... Everywhere else the Jeep is unstoppable...Solid front and rear axles, Locking front and rear Diffs, Sway bar disconnect, 35 inch tyres, Sliders, top notch approach, departure and break over angles....The Jeep is factory built for the Toughest of the roads....Maybe only the G Wagen comes close.

Of these three, my pick would be the Defender as it is easy to live with; the less than steller reliability notwithstanding. I wish the 110 was priced closer to Rs 80 lacs. Defender is the most well-rounded product and relatively affordable (if you can call it that). 2024 Rubicon owner here; what sort of idiots do you have at the helm of the affairs at Jeep India. Everywhere in the world, Rubicon is sold with AT tires (mine has BFG KO2s). These vehicles spend 99% of the time on pavement. Why should the Rubicon owners be required to endure the punishment and noise on account of MT tires.

As an owner of a JLUR, your off-road comparison confirms my belief that nothing beats a Wrangler in off-road conditions…you can’t beat Jeep’s approach/b.o/departure angles as well as two locking differentials… G-Wagen might be cooler but nobody takes $250k vehicle off-roading - it’s just a vehicle for pretenders. Defender used be a good truck; they trans-gendrified it…Ineos Grenadier is the new Defender

If I could choose one, I'd choose the AMG G63. There's just some feel with that car. It's not about the appeal cuz I am more of a Sedan Lover than SUV, I seek for performance which most SUVs lack. But the G63 with the AMG M177 engine is a monster. Even with its boxy design and mad weight, it still has a good acceleration. And the way its front lifts up during acceleration looks quite good. Surely, the looks are very ostentatious, but damn the car is awesome. Once I was going to a get-together, a G pulled up out of no where, I saw it when there was a Signal. When the Signal was green our car had to go towards the left, as we went there was an Endeavor/Everest which was ryt beside the G63 and the way that giant made the Ford look small was insane. One of the craziest SUVs ever brought by Mercedes. Though, out of the bunch the Wrangler is the more affordable one, which comes around 80-90 lakhs, depending where you stay.

One question regarding the 4WD setup. Ferrari had equipped FF with a dual-transmission setup with a single drive shaft instead of a typical dual drive shaft and transfer case arrangement to keep the weight low. Hypothetically, if the Defender went for a setup similar to FF instead of a transfer case, would it have any effect on the performance?
