What a great review after 10 years of me watching videos, and this is the first time if seen one of your videos. That's sad on KZbin part

I was fortunate enough to get these as the company was just starting out. I still use the exact same holster and it has held up tremendously well for the abuse I have put it through. Still today, GCode holsters are still my number one recommendation.

Kind of like the Safariland 6004 but the mounting system looks great. You can have those "rings" mounted to three different vests and you only need 1 holster for your duty gun. Great review. Thanks. Great price too.

Excellent review my friend! That was superbly covered. Seems like a true "tactical" / war holster unless a person just doesn't mind having that much clearance. I would wear something like this myself with a battle belt where I'd be carrying lots of other tactical gear. For general outdoor carry I think I like something closer to the body. Really enjoyed that....thanks!

@OneZeroCharlie All holsters will wear on a gun, but this one is kydex and most likely the gun will scratch up the holster than the other way around. The inside of the holster is very smooth and I have not noticed any scratches on my pistol in almost 6 months of use.

I've had this out in the field several times in very harsh terrain and conditions. Never once had issues with the retention system. I've gone through heavy brush thinking that a branch or twig my activate the thumb switch, but never happened. Had it at several classes in the desert and even doing prone work, the dirt and debris never locked up the system.

It's a very instinctive draw stroke. There is a learning curve with a more advanced holster such as this one, but it's easily overcome with only a few hours of training.
@edgybob113 жыл бұрын
I agree. This is a very good holster. Good video too.
@chanderson112 жыл бұрын
You can take it apart and once you install it on the molle, you tighten it back up with two screws. Very easy to do.

wow, they must be getting popular since travis haley is now starting to promote their holsters. all good and the wait time is well worth it.

These are a bit expensive, but well worth it for how versatile it is with all the mounting options. I think I paid about $80 with some extra accessories.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. The guys at USGruntGear must really be getting pretty busy if the wait time is that long. I'm lucky and found him early and got mine wihtin 2 weeks. Anyways, I generally wear a size 36" pants and the Warbelt is an XL. Although the belt fits perfect with the adjustments, I think if I were to purchase this again I would have gone with a Large.

@michaelaezaz yes the RTI wheel is sold seperately. You'll need a compatible RTI holster otherwise you will also need the RTI hardware.

Great review! Does the kydex holster scratch up the finish on your glock?
@chanderson112 жыл бұрын
Try glockmiester for the grips. Not really sure about what G Code plans on future holster is , but they would be behind if they didn't compete with the other light bearing holsters other companies are coming out with. If your serious about a light bearing holster, write me a PM. I know an excellent custom holster company with a fast turn around time.

Does the RTI wheel sold separately on their site come with the screw for mounting applications such as on other products. I have a blackhawk belt loop that i want to mount my g-code on but the site isn't very descriptive of what come with the products.

Did your holster come with dust (sawdust-like) all over the inside of it? Both my holster and double mag holder came with a moderate film of dust all over the interior.

@michaelaezaz I got mine awhile ago and dont know if they may have changed the way they ship the items with hardware, I would definitely call them just to be sure.
@TacticalPersian13 жыл бұрын
@chanderson1 Yes, but I was curious to know if the separate wheel will come with the required screws to us the wheel for mounting.

how do u mount the molle adaptor? Can you take apart the kydex straps or do u slip a belt in between the straps?
@chanderson111 жыл бұрын
Mine fit just fine. I didn't have to use different screws.
@chanderson111 жыл бұрын
Not sure. Sounds like the pistol is causing some extra tension on the retention strap release. I'd call GCode, they may help.

My screws that came on my attachment that you screw in the bottom aren't long enough to hold it on my molle belt. Did you have to buy longer screws?
@bryancalhoun250112 жыл бұрын
Nice rig. I own several holsters for my pistols But never used one of these b4 it's cool. Nice color too. I might grab one what did it set you back?$ Either way it looks like a police/armored car guard type quick release combat style gun fighter holster. 👍 good2go....

Good review. Don't worry about the "strap-on" thing. We know what you meant. :-)
@FantabulousMe10011 жыл бұрын
So when I put my weapon in the holster, the strap that goes over the back will not release upon pushing the release without pushing it forward. When the gun is not in the holster, it functions normally. Any ideas what's going on?

do you know if they have a platform for mounting horizontally on molle?

Nice but can't find one for my para. I have duty carried glock 17, sig 226 and h&k p2000. I will stick to the safariland 6280.

@jdizzy01 not quite sure about that.

Hi, if you google G-Code holsters and go to the link that says "tactialholster" dot com that will take you to the site I got mine from. They sell the hardware for all holster accessories.

For the sake of keeping information out there. GCode also makes the SOC series of holsters that are two-part and can accept popular light/pistol combinations.
