Creating mixes that translate with maximal consistency - no matter where they’re played back - requires engineers to use in-room studio monitoring they can trust. For many, it is also desirable to have the ability - and confidence - to use headphone monitoring as part of their workflow. Genelec’s UNIO concept and its central device, the 9320A, provide a tailor-made solution for effectively bridging the two worlds of monitoring, so they can be utilised together to achieve exceptional results, from stereo to immersive.

In this free and easy-to-follow webinar, Genelec expert Marcel Schechter will show you how to use the 9320A to calibrate Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) systems and control Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software, while also demonstrating how to use the 9320A as a stereo output device and signal converter of the finest quality. You’ll also learn how to align its different analogue and digital inputs and outputs, including the unit’s reference-quality headphone output. Finally, Marcel will take you through advanced settings like selecting SPL weightings and how to measure SPL for headphones.

@@genelec Marcell, Could you please shed more light on the RJ45 terminator? The GLM has one too, but it’s blocked with a plastic plug. What is its purpose and when and how do you use it? Will Genelec publish jitter and noise levels on the AES output? I don’t expect it here, of course. I can contact your customer service.

@@jitterfree250 Terminator connector can be used for GLM network, in case of network cabling being greater than 100 meters. Usually it works even with longer than 100 meters, very well, and it is only needed in very exceptional installations where is long network wiring required. Regarding jitter and noise levels, please send e-mail to support@genelec.com and we can double check with our R&D Management if it is something we can share. 🙏
