The song "A Boy" is part of G-Dragon's solo album, "Heartbreaker." While it may not be as well-known as the title track, the song expresses his feelings about becoming successful at a young age. Fame comes with its pros and cons, a reality that Bigbang-especially G-Dragon felt intensely. As one of the rare idol of his era who wasn't afraid to express himself, he faced significant criticism from conservative locals who wanted him to tone down his persona and conform to societal expectations. He was criticised harshly, and some even questioned whether he was genuinely the composer and lyricist of their songs, despite the existence of a documentary from 2006 that showcased him working on music and beats behind the scenes. This negativity took a toll on him, leading to feelings of depression and exhaustion due to the pressures of fame. Through this song G-Dragon reminded himself of the years of hard work it took to achieve his dreams. He ignored the hate and took some of the good lessons he got from it and continue to be himself up to this day. Take note, during that time no idol had ever successfully transitioned into a solo artist while a band was still active. And idols were not considered true artists before that. G-Dragon was the first idol to made it happen and gained recognition as an actual artist.

You got the meaning right just from the visuals. Usually in Korea they train for a couple of years then they start their career. G dragon had one of the longest training periods in history. 10 years. Usually if you don't debut in a couple of years you don't have what it takes to be successful. This is G dragon after BigBang blew up and him being one of the most famous people in the country and being overwhelmed. Then 6:20 telling himself remember how much you wanted this and how long it took? Go out there and show people what you can do.

Actually that was a 12 year old GD, Korean age 13. They count the day they cane into the world as 1yo. I think they stop that now. GD was part of a group called "little Rora" he was 5-6yo then. At 12, YG discovered him was shocked that a kid wrote his own rap and rap as he did. He was invited to perform with 1tyme Teddy's group back then. Teddy is a Blackpink producer, and he had worked with bigbang before prior. GD has been around for a while.

This is one of my favorite song of his. He been the industry for so long, he started out as a kid group “Little Roora” he get scouted by SM Ent, but he discovered wutang clan music he got inspired by them and got more into hiphop. Then he left SM for YG. YG was not big at that time they got a few artists but hiphop wasnt that big in South Korea atp. So he did trained there one by one the members joined and scouted. Gdragon and Taeyang are friends since kid, TOP is Gdragon’s friend too, TOP was underground rapper Gd suggested him to join YG , Top went to lose a lot of weight and got accepted. There is this documentary called bigbang the beginning the start of their career. They were 6 trainee but only 5 of them debuted. Bigbang were the one who changes YG ENT making them the Big 3 entertainment company. SM, YG, JYP.

This song is also a tribute to Michael Jackson. The lyrics of how they both started at a young age, the singing style in the chorus, and also on GD’s shirt “1958-2009”. He released this song a few months after MJ passed 😢🙏🏼

GD was so crazily criticized to the point of people calling for his removal from Bigbang and literally forming a petition calling for his death(people are so crazy sometimes I can't comprehend it, GD was what? 20 years at the time??). He had gotten nothing but pushback against his dreams since he was 12(when he signed with YG), and nothing he did was 'good enough'. The amount of work that boy had to put in after YG more or less manipulated him into signing is crazy. It's a wonder he managed to fight through and stick with it. And this is just what the public knows. But he had strong dreams, and this song is GD reminding himself of those dreams. To remember that determinant boy who got him to where he is. And also more or less feel sorry for him and everything he went through. At least that was my interpretation.

Check butterfly, missing you,black,window and who you.He was investigated by big company before if its really true that this young boy can create great music at such a young age. Oh Jalen - Sorry! I watched this. I even left a comment 1 month ago and in my excitement, I forgot to give you a thumbs up. My BAD! It was so goo that I am back a month later because I need some good vibes today. You give them with your BIGBANG/member content. Thank you so so much! Reactors come and go with BIGBANG but you have been consistent. I don't know why I feel betrayed when reactors just drop BIGBANG cold after a period. (I'm not saying don't react to other music, but don't drop BIGBANG, please) VIP hearts would break for real.
