J-Hope said that G dragon is his role model but he's not alone. Literally hundreds of idols look up to him and consider him their role model. Some of the most famous are S.Coups from Seventeen, Soyeon from ( G) I-dle, Hoongjoon from Ateez, Jennie from Black Pink, Jungkook from BTS, Felix from Stray kids, Ahyeon from Baby monster, Harvey from XG. He's the great innovator of the industry. K-Pop would be unrecognizable without G dragon and BigBang.

He is the king of kpop. Everyone followed his footsteps in the industry. First idol who composed his songs and designed the first lightstick among many trends.

GD is Art in human form . His mind is fascinating . He was the first idol accepted in the Copyright Association. Bigbang was the first group to have creative control . GD created the lightstick. Kpop looks , sounds the way it does under GDs and BigBang influence. He brought the fashion industry into kpop. The big fashion houses noticed him and fallowed him to Korea . He writes , compose , produce music . He paints . He has his own fashion house . He is a designer. The biggest international sport stars wear his Nike shoes . His eyes are always on the future . He is now also a profesor at the most important technical university in Korea. He sign with Galaxy , a tech , AI , metaverse comony instead of music label. This man saw the way AI can copy a person image , voice , make music and they will find ways artists can protect themselves from illegal fake AI copies of their image and work .

This is one facet of his public persona. He is one of those who are very shy off-stage but turns into a beast on-stage. His songs are also multi-faceted. Not just a rapper, he is also a great vocalist. His live performances are legendary! You might want to check out his recent MAMA 2024 performance, its his comeback after 7 years away from the stage.

Welcome to the G-Dragon/Bigbang rabbit hole, haha! With respect to your question of whether this is "typical" of GD I'd say yes, but only partially! He's extremely multifaceted but this video does a good job of capturing his general aura. As a suggestion, I actually think the BEST way to really understand why he's such a legend is to watch a concert performance rather than his music videos. I think the best one is "2016 BIGBANG MADE IN SEOUL - GOODBOY+CROOKED". First song is a duet with his bandmate Taeyang and the second is one of the biggest solo hits of his career. One of my most rewatched videos on here probably lol it's just a masterclass in showmanship. Bigbang's legacy is a bit complicated since they've gone from being a 5-piece to a 3-piece. One member left the industry altogether following a series of scandals and the other, TOP, left to focus on solo pursuits (he is both a rapper and an actor) - he's got an album coming next year and will be playing the role of Thanos in the second season of Squid Game. But regardless their discography and performances are all really good and laid the foundation for so much of what kpop would become in the 3rd gen so I do hope you enjoy exploring them! btw you're a really great reactor and i'm excited to watch your channel blow up :)

Please reacting more and more.. i think u will addict with his music, GD made almost his songs and bigbang's songs. GDRAGON has inspired so many idols & many adapted his style & mannerisms, his rap style. Not saying they copied him, but he definitely influenced many & J Hope is one of them. Others being Hongjoong of Ateez, Hyunsuk of Treasure, Mino of Winner, even female rappers : Jennie of BlackPink, Soyeon (G)I-dle. Almost every group & member has cited GDragon (or another BIGBANG member) as their reason for wanting to be a Kpop idol

Tq. Great if you can explore more. He has anither single track out now called home sweet home featuring two of his group members. I love it :) GD covers so many genres. He is rumoured to have a new album coming out around Christmas.

These are recommendations for GD from a fan since 2020. Older fans i think have a different perspective on certain tracks. The songs that imo sound fresh in 2024: Missing you, One of a kind, Black (ft Jennie), Good boy (x taeyang),That xx, Crooked, Palette (ft IU), Fact A with Psy, Untitled, BS, divina comedia (but it's hard to understand". As for the "sounds old but still a vibe) songs,YG family (2001 or 2002), the leaders (ft. Cl and teddy), crayon, Go, obsession, heartbreaker, Window. That's for his solo work.
