There was no better SNL band lineup than G. E. Smith's. I watched as much to hear them play as I did the comedy.

G. E. Smith is top shelf baby! Class 'A' musician.

I remember, in the early/mid-90s, seeing him on SNL (it was great then). G.E. Smith is one of the greats; it's nice to see these interviews.

I really like this guy. I think I would without question, believe just about anything he says. Seems like such open honesty.

Would love to have a few beers with this guy. A talented, workaday musician who diplomatically lays out the bare truth. Respect.

Great interview. G.E. Smith is one of those guys you see on TV, like SNL, for years and just have a curiosity about. Real cool to hear his take on things. I saw playing with Moon Alice in S.F. years ago near Pier 39.

Mr. Smith, I can't tell you how great you and your band were during the 2016 RNC! I switched over to a channel without commercials just so I could listen to your band. Terrific performance! Please release an RNC song album.

GE Smith and his bands were the only honest part of latter day SNL.

The reason why a lot of people were let go is because ratings were at a lull. Times change, music changes. Even the best and longest running sitcom's like M.A.S.H and Sanford and Son or the Jeffersons ended. It's out with the old and in with the new. But I didn't know that GE Smith was married to Gilda Radner for a few years. That was cool finding out.
