G&G AK5C - Too Heavy!

Just a quick look at one, it's very nice to fire now but I only changed the gears, spring & fiddled a little.
The safety was totally removed as the wrong mosfet was installed for the selector plate type & to quote my customer "who needs safe anyway?"

Thx for showing off that selector switch mod, going to do that to mine soon. Also for those looking at getting this rifle, the only thing that is proprietary internally is the nozzle. Also, be carful with the screws holding the dust cover, they have a tendency to come loose so add some supper glue or thread locker to them. Other then that, everything else on this rifle is supper solid.

This was the second or third AEG I ever bought. Had some feeding problems with the split hop-up but after that was fixed it was one of the best shooting out-of-the-box rifles that I owned, even up to this day. Very accurate, but also very front-heavy. Pretty heavy in general, thanks to the solid milled receiver.

The FNC variant is upgradeable with retroarms v2.5 and an m4 hop-up chamber. Not a lot of dremel work needed, mostly on the hop-up chamber

@@AA-Echo the AK is not the same as AK5C. The AK in AK5C stands for Automatkarabin, and the AK5C is manufactured by FN Herstal. And an Russian AK if manufactured by Izhmash.

Yo. Negative airsoft, i Bought a G&G AK5C Second hand from a Guy online & it was good for a few days but fairly recently i noticed that the left hand Fire selector switch is very loose. You can turn it to the 6 o'clock position no problem, it just hangs right down & doesnt do anything anymore. The question is, do i have to disassemble the gun to tighten whatever bolt or nut holding it in or what do i have to do ?

It already has a 2 piece m4 hop up. You're gonna have to modify the lower and remove where the feed tube screws on but I don't recommend it.

It's basically the same rifle as the AK5c. G&G lost the FN license and instead decided to produce the swedish license built variants. The real life AK5 is just a FNC with a different handguard.

@@ianaumy without talking myself into a corner, they are based on the same receiver design but of course the FNC predates the AK5c, so an internal update between production runs is always a possibility. It would make sense that they are identical though.
