i love how they explore so many types of genres and still sound so good and like them.

Villain Dies is about Soojin, the hate she received and how she was painted as a villain even though she's innocent. The girls are attacking the false accusers. Soyeon's rap is in the POV of Soojin, the 'her' is one of the main false accusers. There is no other interpretation, this is the only correct one. This entire album is the girls being mad at what happened to one of their members.

I NEVER DIE and I BURN are my favorite (G)I-DLE albums

"Villain dies" is about Soojin's scandal, that case almost ruin (G)i-dle. "She,Her" mean that actress who make fake scandel (S S A) "You" mean people who love her, believe her more than (G)i-dle For "You" (g)i-dle is villian but they will never die because they are heroine of them's story even it's YOUR sad ending. It's clear in (g)i-dle golden disc award 2023. I feel "pain&unaccept injustice result" from this song. "Why do you love her, look at this. Always hurting me" 😢😢😢😢😢😢

I'm sure the comments are over explaining all these songs, but to summarize to most simplest point: the whole album is screaming about the injustice of Soojin, and (G)I-DLE's raw emotions about almost being abandoned by the company and some fans because of that. I honestly believe I NEVER DIE became so big because they didn't shy away from what had happened to them (like continuing on as if it's business as usual) and just let out everything they were feeling. People felt their emotions and the album touched them on a personal level. K-Pop can be superficial at times, but this was an instance where everything was clearly real... PLUS it didn't hurt that TOMBOY came out swinging, basically smacking the music scene in the face.

For Yuqi's comeback, there is a video to watch before "Could it be" and the concept trailer is definitely worth watching. Obviously can't say for certain, but I get the feeling it needs to be seen in order. "Could it be" definitely needs the "intro film" beforehand to make proper sense. Just a heads-up 😊

Villain dies soyeon's rap part is for seo shin AE who was not sure if soojin bullied her or not back in highschool but still she came forward accusing soojin. At the end seo shin AE dm was leaked where she said "I'm not sure if soojin was in the group" that bullied her in highschool. Seo shin AE got off so easily but Seo Soojin went through hell in those years 😢😢😢 every Gidle members were devastated more than any Neverlands Minnie cried, Yuqi cried Soyeon was sad she was devastated soojin was her best friend, Miyeon hid her tears but she cried and shuhua 😢😢 she was not herself which gave inspiration her to improve in everything dance, vocal, expression. That was Gidle's and Soojin lowest point in their life😢😢😢😢

Yay tysm for the reaction!! I was waiting and was so glad when i saw it!!❤But even further I can’t wait for you to react to “I Love”, alongside “I Burn”, “I Love” is my favorite one of their albums. One of my most favorite parts of it is the fact that all the songs on the album are connected. Because of this, I highly HIGHLY, recommend you react to the album backwards, like from “Dark X-File” to “Nxde” SOYEON HERSELF SAID THIS, because when you go through it this way, you see them moving through the story differently and how Soyeon wanted you too, it’s so genius. I also agree with you on that I would give so much to just sit with Soyeon and have her tell me everything about her choices in music 😅.

Thank you so much for your reaction to this truly epic comeback album after the pain and chaos caused by the Soojin situation. The girls really stepped up and came out with a fantastic album showing the world that they may be battered and bruised, but not down--they will never die!!!!

Couldn't wait for your reaction to this album! I think for Never Stop Me the key of interpretation is much more mocking than anything else, the ex didn't like them having an intense personality, a bold style, colorful makeup, so the girls are reclaiming those things one by one; the "I know I'm tooo emotional" is not an acknowledgement but a derisive callback to a time they have been called that just for expressing themselves. And Villain Dies has STRONG ties to Soojin (as the victim), it was especially clear from the performances at award shows of this song For the next album "I Love" the listening order recommended by Idle is actually BACKWARDS, from the last track to the first! The lyrics follow a theme and gradually tell a story

Soyeon said in an interview that Never stop me was inspired, and is a tribute to Avril Lavigne. One of her influences.

This song gives me Once Upon A Time vives, where you realize the heroine actually hurt the "villain" causing her to lash out, but in the story theyre the crazy bad guy, everyone just thinks of them as evil but no one sees that theyre victims too. it's a really cool theme/perspective

CVonsider this album came out after the Pandemic, the cancellation of their WorldTour, and the whole loss of Soojin. If you watch Soyeon's solo version of "OMG", written and performed prior to the album coming-out, you'll see how much anger and betrayal she felt with this album coming out.

Loved this! ABOUT THE I LOVE EP THOUGH, which is next, its important to know that the order of the tracks are BACKWWARDS, so when reacting, X-file is the first track to listen, and nxde is the last one. I hope you react to it soon!

I can't be sure, but I think the relationship which is "already over" in "Already" is probably their relationship with their label, Cube. They're fulfilling the legal terms of their contract, but it isn't a collaboration any more. It's already over. Before that they thought the label was actually helping and promoting them. Now they know it's just a cold business relationship with an abusive company "I never missed you, even on this lonely night Love is lost and the ‘us’ of that day is gone The beginning and end of the love that always depended on you The way you pretend to be kind is the same "I’m sick of it because I knew your true nature No more fools who were satisfied with the seat next to them, I don’t know my yesterday, I spit it out with tears Okay, even if you really changed, I’m already- "You never know what I’ve been through I cried and cried and wanted to hang on I know in the end, it won’t be us It’s never going to be the same (Again)" Also, there seems to be a reference to the Tomboy music video. It ends with the credits rolling in a theater and showing the names of the main characters... and here we have "The movie comes to an end The main characters have our names In the black screen I slowly rise into"

People have debated what exactly "Never Stop Me" is about, but it's probably about the group's relationship with Cube after Soojin was fired. ("Out of company"?) The whole album is largely about this. I gotta say, it was *gutsy* that the first comeback after Soojin left was a *nine-song* concept album expressing anger at their label, the fandom, and the general public for how Soojin had been treated. Every time (G)I-DLE gets criticized Soyeon comes out swinging (in her lyrics and composition). (G)I-DLE criticizes Cube so much... but (G)I-DLE is making them tons and tons of money, and of course that's what Cube cares about most; Soyeon's fulfilling her side of the contract. But not politely.
