They are telling you to think outside of the box so try that, the "nude" in here isn't referring to clothing or body but a unfiltered and uncenscoured version of yourself. Not acting a certain way for the camera, no acting a certain way for people to like you. just YOU. Even if you aren't loved or hated you will be yourself because you a nude and you were born nude, you are taught how to act and appear, a baby doesn't care how it acts or how its proceived its a baby.

From what I recall, G-Idle's in Korean, 'Yeoja Aideul,' translates to 'girl children.' Notably, 'aideul' means 'children' in Korean. Coinciding with the song's release, South Korea faced rising cases of sexual harassment and illegal hidden-camera installations in public spaces. Additionally, many Koreans searched for explicit child content online. Consequently, after the song's release, searches for related terms yielded this song instead, highlighting the irony. So this is not just about woman with the sex appeal...

This is why Soyeon chose 'Nxde' as the subject because when she thinks of the word nude she doesn't think of its literal meaning of the body but she thinks of the real thing of being yourself.

Even the choreography of 'Nxde' is meaningful if you observe closely. In the part where they sing 'Shh, yes, I’m nxde,' the zipper is opened, and then, in sync with the music, the jacket is opened and closed. In the second chorus, during the line 'Yes, I’m nxde,' there’s a step where the shirt is removed.

I think the point is that some people ONLY see the sex. Even if its a nun, fully in habit, some people see that in a sexual light.

after releasing this song, when gross people would try to search for “nude idol”, this song would come up instead. so instead of seeing possible AI fake images or otherwise real and somewhat risky photos of idols, they were hidden. this release actually helped cover and save the image of many idols and probably future idols as well.

wasn't it because "aideul" translates to young child. so if horrible people search "nude aideul," the song shows up instead?
@lana.842
@lana.842 Күн бұрын
@@ZyxiaYrah yes, that’s the reason why. 아이들 means children (in romanization its aideul, which can be pronounced as idol.) and 누드 means nude. If someone were to search up those two together, gidle would show up instead of the usual CP. If you’re thinking “oh but idle isn’t gidle’s name” in South Korea, they are known as just idle (아이들) their full korean name is 여자 아이들 which translates to girl children - or it could be girl aiduel or girl idol.

in this song being nude is actually just being their true self. that's why they say that they don't care if they seem tacky or if they aren't loved anymore they will continue to be themselves. the reason they say you have a dirty mind is the fact most people immediately view nudity as a sexual think when in reality it just means you are bare.

Just because people use sex appeal to gain views or some sort of attention on them does not mean sexualisation and especially over sexualisation of people does not exist or is not wrong. such as in Marilyn monroes case where people saw her as a sex object a lot instead of also looking at her other skills or seeing her for more than that as a person. It is still a problem even though it is used for advantage sometimes. Like you said that no matter how people present themselves whether in a sexual manner it does not give rights to anyone to harass or thing it’s okay to talk to them in a vulgar manner because of it.

You were confused about soyeons first verse about reading books and being a self made woman,, so i’ll try to explain it!! Nxde is about showing their “real selves” going forward even if it means no longer receiving love from people, as opposed to being loved for a fake image. Marilyn Monroe was a huge inspiration. Soyeon even said, “Marilyn Monroe was labeled as a blonde sex symbol in the past, but I came to think that the real her would have been different from what the public thought of her.” she said: “I heard that she was actually highly intellectual and liked to read philosophical books. In a similar vein, people have a particular image of us as we are publicly known celebrities. We wanted to break that stereotype and show our true selves by paying homage to Marilyn Monroe.” In the music video, Soyeon is dressed as Marilyn Monroe, reading Leaves of Grass, a book Marilyn herself really liked and admired. This choice is intentional. when Soyeon references books in her short rap, she’s not just talking about any book. She’s challenging the way society reduced Marilyn Monroe to a “dumb blonde,” ignoring and overlooking her intelligence and depth because she was a woman and actor. I really like how a Marilyn Monroe inspired concept wasn’t just used to portray blonde bombshells like it always seem to be. It’s a clever, introspective way to comment on the struggles women go through, using one of the most famous as inspiration, and it’s done tastefully. It’s the best way they could have done this concept imo. In her second appearance we go to backstage and she does her first rap ("twisted Lorelei..."). In this scene she is reading a newspaper where she's being harshly critisized, then she destroys it and throws it over her back. I think she is showing that the public sees her as a fierce woman that doesn't give a damn about haters and public opinion, a woman that possesses unlimited confidence and can even come out as unapproachable or too harsh. But then we switch to the real her, the soyeon with the black clothes, and we see her running away from something. I think she is showing that even if she has confidence, she still can feel overwhelmed living under the constant scrutiny and preassure of everyone around her. At the end of the day, she is just a human doing her job (hence her clothes that resemble business clothes), and trying to make some space in the industry for her and her members (that is why she opens the doors to get us to Miyeon). Then in the next scene with her we switch to her second rap, and she is being displayed as an art piece for people to bid on her.
I think this is about how she has archived success being a fierce, charismatic idol that raps and speaks her mind, but she's actually a much more versatile artist than that, and she's saying that she doesn't like when people just put her inside a box. It’s a really powerful commentary on how people commodify and exploit the idol industry, on the relentless bidding war over these idols’ lives and images, and the pressures and objectification they face. society reduces artists to mere products for consumption. Then we go to the live stream scene, when she is taking off her clothes. I think it is the core message of the song, she could try to aim for the perfect idol image but she rather goes nude and takes all the hate. Nxde meaning being her true self. She is aware of what the people says about her, and she knows that those people are in the wrong, and just filled with prejudice. In the last scene, where the girls are singing "why you think about nude.." together, they have nude colored clothes, I think this is to show what they are aiming for. To project an authentic version of themselves as artists. They are just smiling and being themselves, while proudly doing their music. My favorite part of the lyrics comes toward the end: “We are born nude, the perverted one is you.” That line hits me hard. it speaks to the way society sexualizes something as natural as the human body. We’re all born nude, yet the idea of nudity has become so stigmatized that even accidentally showing your bare body makes you objectified and scorned. Nudity shouldn’t carry so much shame or be treated as taboo.

The scene where Soyeon is reading "Leaves of Grass" is a direct reference to Marilyn Monroe, who has a photograph of her reading the same book. The scene with Minnie in the beginning (wearing the pink) is a reference to Marilyn Monroe's Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend. Soyeon spoke directly on it saying that she was an educated woman but they only saw her as a sex symbol. When she takes about being nude, she's talking about being her true, bare self. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6evoYemid-kg9U

Speaking of Nxde, the album is a must-listen. it’s packed with so much raw emotion and commentary on not just the idol industry but also relationships. If you love the title track, you’ll adore the rest of the album. Honestly, (G)I-DLE’s B-sides are one of the best parts of their discography. They’re consistently amazing.

7:38... actually in 98% cases the company forces them to do something like that 15:57... actually they had comparatively harder choreo before when they were 6, after their main dancer was kicked out they reduced their focus on choreo. From the get go they were a vical based group There are many subtitles mistakes in the MV. You should definitely watch an explanation video by WOO, a dedicated Idle song explanation channel And please react to a detailed long guide, we don't mind long videos
