The main theory that everyone says is: You see Minnie dragged out of heaven into purgatory which is the white room Soyeon is also in purgatory but it seems like she chose the leave heaven. You then see Minnie open up these curtains where she sees Yuqi in heaven. Yuqi is falling into sinning and darkness. She is admiring Miyeon and it is implied she is in love. When it’s yuqis verse she is questioning herself and at the end her makeup is darker like you see reds so she has accepted she has sinned. ( as a Catholic we drink Jesus’s blood and Body which is bread and wine we do this in mass do be one with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit) Yuqi drops a cup with blood which means she is done faking it. So yuqi is next to leave heaven. Miyeon is the god that is why she can’t sin nor is fazed by anything. Soojin is the devil or a demon, in one scene she is holding an apple(Adams apple) the first/original sin and it is known Demons and Lucifer are attractive to seduce mortals etc so Soojin was whispering to Shuhua and about to kiss her but then it was Soyeon. Shuhua is an angel that was going to be corrupted by Soojin with lust. But since Soyeon took Shuhuas place she is now in hell so as Minnie in the mud scene. Minnie is in hell because she killed herself she made a gun with her hands in one scene and suicide is the biggest sin after murder. Also Minnie throughout the whole mv was “sloth” like. She accepted her future and let the darkness take over her and that’s why her hands turn black. She is laying on the floor and mud shamelessly. Now that was the theory about the mv but theories for the song especially the English version are a little different

Daniela Sabbatino My mind went through a lot of phases at first I thought Soyeon was already in hell and that Soojin whispered to Soyeon how to get out and that way was to trick Minnie. But these are all theories no one is wrong or correct. People also have theories about the lyrics and not just the whole mv. Love between two women and that they are sinning because some Christians don’t support pride/ believe in that but they are telling god love is love and that they can’t resist themselves.

I kinda hate that looking at the English version you could easily say it’s about a relationship. I mean you could say that for the original version as well but looking at the M/V and the translated lyrics you could get a deeper meaning behind it, not just about a relationship but about a higher power and the whole biblical theme. You can think about this while listening to the English version as well but the English version is just easier to think of as about a relationship and love. At least on my opinion.

MV Theory: Character roles: Minnie is the fallen angel Miyeon is the goddess of heaven Siyeon is purgatory Yuqi is the Guardian Angel Shuhua is the good angel Soojin is the goddess of hell As you can see in Minnie is taken , Minnie is being taken to hell because she kept lying so she fell down to hell. Yuqi is Minnie’s Guardian Angel trying time look for Minnie in hell. While Soojin is the ruler of the underworld, she tries to keep Minnie on the dark side. And we see soyeon. She plays the purgatory. And you can see her prepare her weapons. Ready to kill Minnie. Meanwhile heaven, Miyeon finds out Minnie has fallen. So she sends Shuhua to find Minnie in hell. But Shuhua caught captured by Soojin so she’s now in the dark side. Maybe you’re wondering what happened to Yuqi. Well was also captured by Soojin and is taken to the dark side as it is metaphorically shown in. Later, Shuhua is in Soyeon’s purgatory. Minnie is shooting herself because she couldn’t handle it anymore. The phrase that says ab imo pectore which means from the bottom of my heart in Latin. At the end the dark side won over Minnie and everyone else in heaven. That’s why in the teaser photos, the black images are “true” and the white images are “fake”. So what does this all mean? I have no idea but I’m still trying to find out.

I’ve heard one theory that I literally love so much - Original comment is on the MV made by Nina Bolen!!! “they sing about someone’s inner conflict about their desire to be with someone of the same sex. They try to suppress that feeling but it keeps wrecking their walls and “let’s itself in”/aka the person wrecks their walls and let’s themself in. The white rooms are places of judgement and fear, somewhere where they try to hide that part of themselves. The dirt scenario is hell where they can finally express themselves and be free. (They sing about their life being a sin so I assumed they want to portray that their love sends them to hell) they get there after saying “ab imo pectore” = “with all my heart” finally admitting their feelings. My theory is that honestly minnie was the first to be corrupted by soojin who is essentially Lilith. So she's being dragged into hell or something like that? Yuqi is resisting and trying to escape Soojin. Soyeon is the one struggling at the moment, at the beginning she is moving as if she is possessed in the white room. Her licking the wire signifies her corruption by soojin. And when soojin bewitches soyeon with the whispers and stuff, that's when shes become a devil. Miyeon is a protector of the good side opposing soojin. Shuhua is an angel who has dealt with the dark side firsthand as you can see the scene with the wire.
