(G)I-dle is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018. The group consists of five members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. The group was originally a sextet, until Soojin left the group on August 14, 2021. Wikipedia

The girls hold a lot of power over CUBE. I'm sure it's a combination of their own work ethic and CUBE being ok with it. They work hard but they also want to work hard. (G)I-dle contract comes up in about 18 months and the girls are striking while the iron is hot. They really want to maximize their value for when it comes time to decide what the future holds... whether it is to stay with CUBE or to (hopefully) form their own company.
