Yuqi's serious side was nice to see. We got to know her a little better here. I'm happy she decided to share he family like and her work philosophy. Sometimes, with all the fun that's involved in following idols, you kinda forget that they are real people too. They aren't just the goddesses we see on stage or online, they're normal girls with relatable issues.

I feel like Yuqi speaking Korean and Yuqi speaking English are 2 completely different people. Idk I just get that feeling. It’s because when I hear her speak Korean, she’s always so adorable and cute, but when I hear her speak English, it’s like I picture a more mature Yuqi than I’m used to seeing/hearing.

When she speaks chinese she is also different, she is totally in her element and oozes confidence and feel most comfortable when she speaks chinese, you can see that it is her real native language.

I love how Yuqi is confident and does not mind stuttering when speaking English. Usually idols gets self conscious when speaking English and just end up speaking in Korean.

yuqi talking about school and seeing those double a paper boxes reminds me of the stress we've been into because of our research paper lmao. and i really love how yuqi always reminds us not to forget to thank, say and give love to our loved ones. we stan an appreciative queen.

Yuqi is a very special and beautiful person. Despite growing up and playing like a tom boy, her femininity shines and is equal to anyone else in G-idle. Her personality is so awesome and you can tell by listening to her that she is always seeking happiness through knowledge. Everyone should take note of what she said in the video.... work hard and don't let yourself be bored but remember to rest... Golden advice.

Yeah I agree, Yuqi is very feminine for a tomboy, she has a very good balance and mix of an outgoing personality and her tender femininity, and she displays effortless cuteness, due to her puppy like facial features ^^

I was recommended this video and saw parts of the V-Live so I knew I had to watch. Just became a mega kpop fan this year, with Mamamoo and G-Idle being my main groups to follow because of their distinct and unique style of music and concepts. I finally settled on Yuqi as my bias in the group because her personality gravitated towards me. She is always silly, having tons of fun, strong charisma, and a very unique singing voice in this industry. This video solidified that as well. Hearing her story may feel heartbreaking, and as an American I will never know that hardship, but seeing that she is using her past to make the future better for herself and her group, and even for her fans through this live, is amazing and inspiring. Thanks for uploading this clip.

Yuqi has a wise and surprisingly openminded father in bringing up a child. Her father prepared her for a mans world, and in doing so makes her more stronger, nothing wrong with that. a girl can be raised as strong as a boy. there is no written rule that you need to give a girl a barbi, and a boy a basketball. and yuqi is living proof she turned out fine. girls can be outgoing and don't need to be stereotypical timid. Compliments for her father!
@sw36jl3 жыл бұрын
Honestly in China it is not surprising to have such open minded people in the cities in the 70s and 80s. It was mostly expedited by the one-child policy and the communist policy of equality of education for females and males. In the countrysides however, there were cases where if the child was not male, they would abandon them.

I wish I had her parents. She can talk about what her father told her but I can tell the things my parents DIDN'T tell me. My family is divorced and I barely have an emotional connection with them. When meeting it's like meeting relatives at most - nothing like loving family members. While Yuqi was talking I had to pause the video to battle my demons for an hour. 20 years of depression is no fun. I had to buy pad thai ingredients and a bottle of rum today to escape reality. I cooked it for the first time and I burned the onion but it's alright, the scent of crushed peanuts bring back memories of a better time. I used to live in sunny southeast asia. Use to. I had a house and a future wife. I had. It's all gone. All that is left are memories. Now I'm stuck in family house again and covid only makes it worse. But at least I have Yuqi's smile to make me feel loved!
