Dude! The sound, sound effects, highlight and transition animations are so on point. It's crazy (in a good way) to see how good these newer videos are. Keep at it !!!

I bought this game recently, but heard the manual was absolutely horrific. So I decided to watch how it is played online and came here. Solid 5 stars for this video. I now feel like I know everything I need to start playing the game! And knowing is half the battle.

You can’t talk about this game and not end every statement with “and knowing is half the battle “LOL. And thank you for your kind words. I’m glad the video helped :)

Oh my gosh, these days people are forgetting that GI Joe existed, so it's amazing to see people still love GI Joe! 💙 (These days, people only pay attention to Transformers and Marvel Comics)

Don't know about anyone else but I am loving the fact that each of their Deck Building games feel different, this tutorial will definitely help me teach this game to friends and family.

They are all very different. Very curious what’s next.

Yeah, I’m familiar with Transformers, and I was expecting GI Joe to be pretty much the same game mechanics with different cards, and with this video I just discovered that it’s completely different… which is a good thing in my book since I love to have Deckbuilding games with different game mode, different game mechanics, so when I want to change game, it’s not just for the lore/design/characters, but also for the whole game experience. I never really paid too much attention to the GI Joe anime when I was younger, but somehow, now I want to watch them again and probably add this Deckbuilding game to my wish list…

I'm confused about something, if Muskrat was assigned to the mission, why was his "roll five dice" card ability not used?

Thank you! You really helped us get through the game on our first try. I only wish we'd found you earlier; an hour 15 just to figure out the set up and one round was ridiculous!

@board game coffee with the new hero Storm Shadow and Dreadnok Zartan in the expansions do you remove the core versions when using the expansions?
@BoardGameCoffee2 жыл бұрын
I’ve actually never seen the expansions myself. But I’ll pass on your question :)
@BestowTV2 жыл бұрын
@@BoardGameCoffee thanks. It doesn't seem to specify in the rules and I can't find an online ruling.
@BoardGameCoffee2 жыл бұрын
And the official answer is…. No, leave them in. Maybe the Cobra Storm Shadow is an imposter, clone, or a robot. Dreadnok Zartan stays in because he's able to influence both the Dreadnoks AND Cobra forces. Maybe the PLAYER version of Storm Shadow is a clone! DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN
@BestowTV2 жыл бұрын
@@BoardGameCoffee Awesome! Thanks for finding an answer. Our table rule for Storm Shadow was to leave him in because one was really him and another is using his codename. In a world where they just wear masks to impersonate the person, this makes sense.

if my threat marker was at the last green space on the threat meter at end of round, do i move up one for green and play one complication for yellow or do i just go up one for green and then go up one for end of round?
@BoardGameCoffee Жыл бұрын
It’s actually been a while since I played so I don’t remember. But I’ll ask the designer and paste the answer here.

Can i switch mission after the complication card is flip. Like i didnt start with a leader for the story mission and barroness came out during the complication flip. Can i fight barroness instead?
@BoardGameCoffee2 жыл бұрын
No. If you start a mission you have to see it through, success or fail.

Five games in and I lost them all, very badly, core set only. There are serious SERIOUS issues with this game, and I've played dozens of deckbuilders. This one is among the worst. Very poorly designed with respect to difficulty. It's the hardest, and most unreasonable, deckbuilder in existence, bar none. Between the end of turn, start of turn, end of round effects on everything, it's all against you. Couple that with highly random *dice* and you have a recipe for sheer disaster, frustration, and intense rage quitting, to the point where the designers should be threatened. I don't recommend this one. Not by a long shot. Inappropriately playtested for sure.
