I982-1988 Joes and Cobra, you just had to be there and live it, but nostalgia brings our memories to life. Still got my G.I. Joe toys and got them out, cleaned them up, bought a few new ones (retro of course)

I gave my brother my collection at 16 (1994) bc I thought I was too old. The only rule was to not take them out of the house. That weekend he took them to our cousins house and came back with hardly any of them. Biggest regret ever! I had about 80 joes/cobras and a lo of vehicles. Started collecting in 82’ smh

No!!!!!! Why!!!😢 I keep mine in big boxes at my parents house, the men in a case and as much as I would of liked to I didn't let my kids wen they were little play with them, or it was with strict supervision 😂😂 and why am I watching this compilation early Sunday morning remembering all these commercials and making the battle noises, me and my brother perfected thw Cobra laser blast sound..bttttttth, bthhhhhh, bthhhhhh 😂😂 and what thw Hell those new commercials sucked, Street fighter Joe's ummmmmm NO!!!! we don't do that, I was older anyway so around 1991 and 92 I had grown put of GI JOES , Yes Super Trooper, we had him too, we had everything except The USS flag, the defiant, the flag was too big and at the time my mom was like 120$ for the defiant but we had thw Crusader wen it was sold by itself, I remember at Children's Palace my brother and I had only 20$ to use from raking leaves and wanted the Stun, a couple figures and the Persuader, so this was bad and before scanners we put an 8.99 price sticker on thw stun and 5.99 on the persuader, so we had enough to get Sci-Fi and Python patrol viper, thw ones in gray, but that was in like 89 so they typed in thw prices no scanning a barcode, we felt bad but was like we had to have 2 vehicles and 2 mens lol, I hopethw statute of limitations has long passed 35 years??? 😂

I had a 12 inch figure collection I started collecting in 1998 when I was 6. Had about 30 figures half official GI Joe half Soldiers of the World/ JC penny. Stopped playing with them around 11/12. They sat displayed in my basement until I was 14 at which point I CAREFULLY boxed them up. By that point I had 30 figures, a fighter jet, two helicopters, two tanks, a humvee, a zodiac boat, a jeep, a command center, basic training camp, etc. I have an adopted cousin who was born in 2006. Asked so play with them probably around 2012/2013. He turned out to be a little delinquent. Glad I said no.

I was a 90s kid so GI Joe was a little before my era, or better put not as popular i know they were still around, but i remember visiting one of my moms friends house and her older son collected a bunch of them still boxed! i remember she let me look at his collection and i was hooked. i didn't end up getting many, but it definitely left an impact they were cool as hell!

If a GI Joe movie had the production value and acting caliber of these commercials, I would actually watch it. They could make remote control versions of all the vehicles for the combat scenes that used them, shamelessly green screen and dead giveaway set pieces. It would sell more tickets, finish on less than half the budget of previous efforts, and bring to light a more nuanced and intellectual dimension to the oversaturated attempts we have been offered in this century. CAST: Ryan Reynolds is Duke Margot Robbie is Scarlet Terry Crews is Roadblock (and Roadblock is Terry Crews) Nicolas Cage is Destro Tony Jaa is Snake Eyes John Lithgow is Cobra Commander Selena Gomez is The Baroness Rob McElhenney is Shipwreck I'm open to other suggestions, I don't have a Storm Shadow or General Hawk yet, hit me.

I hear ya, Man. 1983-86’ish was my era for Joe. I had the Killer WHALE Hovercraft with Cutter (co-piloted by Shipwreck), the F-14 SkyStriker with Ace, the X-30 Conquest, the Dragonfly Helicopter with Wild Bill, a variety of the smaller vehicles, aircraft & boats & enough Joe Dudes to thwart an Afghani Government Siege. looking back, I was pretty lucky to’ve had those cool crafts, while feeling like a peasant because I didn’t have the Aircraft Carrier. I knew one kid that did, but never got my hands on it. I’d forgotten about the X-30 until I saw it on a nostalgic G.I. Joe toy video years ago, then it came flooding back. seeing pics & vids of those days still makes me feel awesome.

Funny, do you also snarl at someone that enjoyed the new stuff such as Sgt. Savage and Sigma 6 or the movies like Rise of Cobra and Spy Troops? Cause' I'm one of those people that do as my guilty pleasures XD Besides, if the fandom or community of this franchise thinks that in order to be a REAL G.I. Joe fan that I have to force myself to watch the Sunbow cartoon or read the Marvel comics since there's probably a made-up rule that says so? Then I think I'll pass, cause' as a casual? I'm just fine with what I am lol.

21:21 One of my favorite guilty pleasures when I saw the VHS episode online imo since some of my favorite Beast Wars voice actors Scott McNeil,David Kaye, and Garry Chalk who voiced Dinobot,Megatron, and Optimus Primal also voices Savage,Hawk, and Blitz in there :) 31:54 Would pay 20 or 30 to see a Classified remake of that monster character since I love that throwing gimmick he does lol. 32:18 "Cobra makes my blood boil!" I hear ya Slaughter, I hear ya lol. 36:51 XD Temper temper, Cobra Commander. (*sarcasm) TL;DR: I can just hear the 80's era G.I. Joe elitists wanting to come after me with Angry Mob supplies when I said "Sgt. Savage is one of my favorite guilty pleasures" in the first part of my comment since all I also said was that some of my favorite Beast Wars that voice Savage and Blitz were in that animated VHS adventure 🤣
