Repeater was one of those Joe figures that I was ambivalent about when I first got him as a kid. I considered him just another heavy machine gunner like Rock N Roll or Roadblock. But as I got older Repeater grew on me a lot, and now he's front and center on my Joe shelf; displayed right in front of GI Joe Command Center. I think he looks imposing and intimidating with that massive side gun.

That signature gun and being an above average quality figure made Repeater just a fun one in general. Oh and when playing with him back in the day that Aliens machine gun sound was in my head when he fired.

Oh man, never expected to see one of my favorite Joes get a whole video to himself. I know that my brother and I did tend to gravitate more towards the scifi and outlandish characters (especially on the Cobra and Iron Grenadiers side), but I personally loved Repeater's more grounded in reality look, but with that awesome steadi-cam setup.

This was the last 80's era G.I. Joe figures that I remember buying when I was young. Great memories! Thanks for posting.

Hi Micheal, great video about The G.I. Joe Spotlight:1988 Repeater(Patreon Special Missions), but also about The G.I. Joe Steadi-Can Machine Gunner Repeater, all I can say is thank you for all the work you do, also This was the last 1988;-eravG.I. Joe figures that I will still remember buying when I was young. Great but excellent memories! Thanks for posting Micheal.also a unsung hero of one of the best years of G.I. Joe toys.also both your review and G.I. Joe File Card on Reapeater was superb, also great stuff Mike. I've always had a soft spot for Repeater for the very reason you mentioned. Also his authentic look kept him on my radar.also as one who stick around with G.I. Joe until 1993, Repeater was the kind of Joe figure that I still liked a lot.I was very glad but also happy that I was keeping up with both the Comics and the D.I.C. Series at that time, as I could form my own ideas post-Sunbow Cartoon. Also Repeater is not only one of my favorite G.i. Joe's but also one of the best G.I. Joe's of all time. Also his Filecard information are: 1.File Name: Jeffery R. Therein Grade:E-6, Birthplace:Cumberland, Rhode Island, 4.Primary Specialty(as of 2023):Infantry, & 5.Secondary Specialty(as of 2023):Heavy Weapons, Also Repeater(as of 2023): is a member of both The G.I. Joe and The Night Force Subgroup, also the five Versions of Repeater from Repeater Version 1 (1988) to Repeater Version 5(2015) was remarkable,Reapeater made his first Comic Book Appearance in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero(1st ongoing/regular Series)#82(January,1988,1989),also He's animated beautifully in a commercial that so interesting has Hard Ball wearing the same vest as Repeater. Also superb photo of him with Stalker and Beach Head. also Great Video Micheal keep up the good work stay safe out there Nerdmaste and Yo Joe.🙂💪🟢😎😀🏋️🦸👍🇺🇲🇨🇦

Given how the Classified team has shown us that they are willing to go in unexpected ways with nonarah characters and now brand new characters altogether I could easily see Repeater happening in a few years. Heck with them doing Noght Force figures currently he could show up right now and I would be glad to see him.

Great stuff, buddy. I’ve always had a soft spot for Repeater for the very reason you mentioned. Although my interest was drifting in ‘88, his authentic look kept him on my radar.

Thanks Clave. Rock n Roll and Road Block were tough acts to follow so I didn't give him much attention back then, but I think he's one of the true hidden gems of the post Sunbow figures now.

@@MichaelMercy Yeah, it’s hard to top Ma Deuce. But I just had Repeater stand in for ‘ole Craig every time he was out in Cali surfing.

As one who stuck around with GI Joe until 1991, Repeater was the kind of Joe figure I liked a lot. I equally regret and feel glad that I was not keeping up with the comics and the Dic series at that time, as I could form my own ideas post-Sunbow cartoon. It still left me without a lot of knowledge of the GI Joe world and my GI Joe play might have been a lot different. I made a little fort with a shoe box by a creek and left my Repeater figure in it to stand watch. He was somehow gone the next day. I don't understand some of the people who say they stopped caring about the toys because they started to like other things instead, as if they could not do both.

He was one of the later years Joes that looked like a real solder. Almost all the Joes and Cobras were bright neon colors. Too bad he wasn't giving a bigger part in the comics. Since he was a more realistic trooper. I always enjoy your videos. You and your family take care and God bless.

I was totally done with collecting the complete line after 87. When 88 came, I had no desire to continue (I was starting to discover girls instead). But I made an exception with Repeater, Hardball, Hit & Run, Shockwave and Roadpig.

This was one of my last figures before I outgrew them. It was one of the few truly great figures that came out after the line went a little sideways with the sci-fi.
