Rob goes out to the last competition that will be hosted in the Northeast, the Kathy Jaffe Challenge. Suffering from a bit of food poisoning and pulling 9G's when he wasn't ready was a recipe that resulted in a wonderful nap at the most inappropriate time.

7:03 is right when I start the maneuver that put me out. Once I hit the vertical, I was gone until I wing wagged. Had the most peaceful dream though… about a field and some trees.

At 12:07 why is he adding fuel to the wing tanks before flight in the overhead at a competition? Is this because you fly in a holding pattern for a while before you enter the box?

My 300 constantly feeds center from the wings. I only have an “On” fuel selector position. The top cap on the cowling is smoke oil tank only. There’s no other access to the center tank.

It wasn’t bad. Just make sure the belts are tight.
