My ears were burning, someone on the interwebs must be talking about G-Saviour... You know I played this... Haha... The J-Saviour needed to get a model kit along with the Reid's. I also see a close resemblance to Seed with the updated units, the Film and the early MS form the game like the OG G-Saviour has that UC like look but after you get whooped by the Raven in the early game and come back in the G3 yeah it's all very Seed-ish,

I've heard of the movie but have never seen it, but the game looks really good. The maneuverability on Skatey Boi looks really fun!

G saviour the video game is amazing and underrated as hell. Not perfect if course but the story is crazy underrated

Fans complained about the acting in the movie being bad but in the game... is so much worse. Maybe I should throw in Tommy Wiseau quotes like I did for my G-Saviour review years ago :P I wish I could play this game but I don't have a Japanese PS2 (I don't like using emulators unless there is no other option). I dig the designs of the MSs since they feel like the belong in the UC timeline, with Raven being my favourite. A shame you don't play as the G-Saviour for long, but luckily there is the option to use it afterwards.

G and now J Savior? Ripping off GaoGaiGar seems to be the new trend (joking obviously). Also SEED was in 04 while GS was in 99/00 so it'd be more that SEED drew some inspiration from GS, though I personally doubt it. If anything the designs look more in line with the designs from F-91, the Crossbone mangas, and V. (If you'd like to discuss this more at length I'd gladly do so.) So the mechanics seem reminiscent of both the old Armored Core games and the one gundam game that was on rails, Encounters in Space. You're also making the false equivalency of Old Game = Bad as a lot of old games were like this, where you had to restart the entire level if you lost to the boss fight.

I get what you're saying - I compared this to Space Harrier, as I am an old guy when it comes to gaming lol. I just meant in terms of people playing today, as compared to playing something like Rise from the Ashes on Dreamcast back then - different levels of competency. Even for its time, this game has some jank that allows you to easily cheese levels/encounters with only ~20 minutes of familiarity (But, I am a gamer first, Gundam fan 2nd). Back then, I probably wouldn't have bothered with this game, yet I aced games like the Panzer Dragoon series for example. As for Seed - maybe I wasn't clear but I was stating there's some similarities like having additional assault gear added on, the Spears design looking ZAFT-like - I do know it came after, but there's an obvious through line within the Gundam department at Sunrise when it comes to any new designs from G-Saviour to SEED. Even F91 introduced those larger shoulders, which was carried on into G Gundam, Wing, and eventually Saviour.

The designs are great and unique it's just that people ruining this gem by the movie why not give it a chances to shine.
